Designer Things???

Ok,
Say you were shopping, and you found this really nice bag, but it was fake

AND you found a real designer bag, but it looked like a piece of crap

Which one would you choose to buy?

 

The fake one. It looks good and it would be cheaper. I could probably get a wallet to go with it too.

 

Same. I don't give a sh** what the name on a piece of clothing is, as long as it fits and looks halfway decent.

 

The fake one, no-one really cares about designer things where I live anyway. As long as it suits you and looks good, I'd buy it.​

 

I don't buy.
I don't buy bags.
I don't buy fake bags.
I don't buy designer bags.
They did this "experiment" in brainiac once. I don't remember the result though.

 

I don't mind who made it, I always take the things that I like and that I'm sure I'll be wearing.

 

As long as I'll use the bag, I'll buy it. No I will never just buy something because it's designer and expensive. That would be a waste of money >|

 

See, I agree with all of you guys, I don't give a crap in the world who made it, if theres a good looking bag, then I'll buy it.

But there are some girls at my school who couldn't care less about how ugly a bag is. If its expensive and its designer, its hers. Apparently it shows other people how 'rich' they are.
All a designer ugly bag tells me is that:

1. You have no sense of fashion
2. You're a pretentious 'rich b*tch'
3. You think you're cool because you buy ugly bags (in other words, you're a dumbass)

 

Some of those girls at your school are very strange if they do that :\

 

4. Or they just have a different style to yourself

I dislike shopping too :D

If it was a sport, my mum/mom would win gold medals every time, no contest.

 

It is... I hate going in to town with my friends and all they say is 'Oh, I need to go here' and 'Oh, I need to go there to get...'. It's like they're actually trying to mind-rape me.​

 

I think this post is stupid for the fact that shopping is stupid.. but I don't really have much of a say, b/c I have no fashion sense, really. :/

But I know EXACTLY the type of girls you're talking about. I have some of the same people in my school, and most of them are quite nice. They generally buy the designer **** b/c they have the money, THEY like the way it looks, and b/c their friends buy the same crappy bags (they just wanna fit in).

Its kinda like smoking pot. Most people know it's bad, but they do it b/c their friends do... DUH!

Maybe me and you are smart enought to have our OWN personalities, and not be a sponge like some people, and thats why we don't understand why they would waste their money...

 

The worst is going shopping with my mum. She'll spend three hours in one shoe shop, trying on every single pair of damned shoes. >:

And then she'll notice that the next shop along sells handbags. Apparently it's nescessary to have a wardrobe full of them.

 

OMG! I hate that so much! Everybody 'needs' to get these things from everywhere!!!

I hate shopping and I don't wear bags but I'd pick the fake but good-looking one. Following designers and fashion in general really isn't my cup of tea.

 

You know, though, the worst thing about shopping for "designer" stuff, in my opinion, is the colossal waste of it. I mean, the materials may or may not be expensive, so you're more likely than not just paying for a name on a bag. Really, put that thousand dollars (or however much) into something useful. If not for yourself, then a charity or something. But that's just my personal opinion.

 

I don't shop like this. If I see something I like that's affordable, I'll buy it, but usually I buy things based on efficiency and I have no need for designer products.

 

I'd pick the designer bag because i'll fit in better and people can see how rich I am.

 

I'd buy both just to show how filthy rich I am. Then not even use them because I just bought 2 more bags I won't use. How does that make you feel?
