Okay guys, this probably isn't a huge problem but whatever. So My P.E. Teacher that I have on Tuesdays decided that he would film us doing gymnastics, and of course, when it comes to gymnastics, I suck horribly. What made it worse is that I was partnered up with My Best Friend but also, This Polish kid who stalks me and loves making my life hell, so as you could probably guess, me and him argued `for 30 minutes, and we didn't end up practising at all. So, when he filmed us then showed it to the whole class, I was so humiliated (Mainly cause I was the only one in our group doing something) , he swore afterwards that he wouldn't show it again. But the next few days, people started telling me that My teacher had shown their class the video, and what really P'd me off, is that they said he started slagging me! Calling me a wimp and such because I couldn't do that crap right. And that's bull! He shouldn't even be allowed to do that, It's so degrading! I'm getting made fun of a lot more now because of that bloody guy, and I know for a fact he isn't joking when he's slagging me off. Talking to him most likely won't help, considering he said he wasn't going to show it again but he did.... Even though this is a really trivial matter, It would be great if some of the good people out there could give me some advice... thanks!
Go to someone above him, with a few witnesses. That's the sort of thing you can twist an apology out of. Don't confront him about it, as he's not going to admit he was wrong, and will instead discourage you. Instead, go to his superiors. (And if he's a P.E. teacher, he's guaranteed to have a lot of superiors!)
Yeah I suppose, but I don't like clyping on people, especially teachers. Besides, I really feel intimidated going to one of the Depute head teachers about this, Lately I've had so much trouble at school I think they think I'm playing a game of The Boy Who Cried Wolf and I defiantly wouldn't go to the headteachers office- ever. And if I did clype on him, I'm sure he could come up with an excuse to get off with it and then make me look bad. And said P.E. teacher is the head of the P.E. department meaning the only ones higher than him are those stated above
I agree with P. Bring some of the students that said he had been "slagging" you and tell someone of the adminstrative staff. Or if that doesn't work, just be the bigger person. Ignore what he's doing. What he says is not really going to matter once you finish that class (it's P.E. for crying out loud, we can't all be expected to be excellent athletes in every area all the time). Just keep trying your best no matter what. You obviously didn't get all the practice you should've and that reflected in your routine, nothing more. His words are pretty much worth nothing because of that context.
IIRC it's illegal to film someone without their consent. You have a justified reason to slap a lawsuit on this guy, don't be afraid to see someone about this. Switch into another gym class if you can, if you can't, just deal with him.
I was just thinking this. My church makes us sign forms at any event so they can be allowed to make an event video with crowd shots. If it was isolated to your class it would be one thing. But considering he spread it to his other classes, not only without your permission but after stating that he wouldn't; you have every right to complain. If your school has a student services department I would talk to a councilor. If not then at least find a teacher you do trust, even if they don't out rank him they are in a better position to get to someone who can than you are.
