This is the OOC thread; the official thread will be up once we have enough characters to start. Here, you can join, post your OOC, ask any questions and comment about the RP in general.

**NOTE** This RP follows what happens in the 52 episode anime series, not the manga (since I've heard that the two are different).

Story:
Thirty years have passed since the events that happened with Asura. The seven young heroes involved have now grown up and continued their lives outside of what happened. Maka Albarn, the slayer of Asura, became one of the teachers of the DWMA, which is now run by her husband, Death the Kid. Kid's obsession with perfection still follows him into adult hood, having four weapons always ready on hand: the Death Scythe, Soul Eater; the Chain Scythe, Tsubaki; and his trusty twin Demon Pistols, Liz and Patty Thompson. Black*Star also became a teacher at the DWMA, but spends most of the time boasting about his glory days instead of actually teaching anything.

All seems peaceful in Death City...

But, in the other parts of the world, a band of witches have been scheming the downfall of Death City and the DWMA. In order for any kind of Weapon to be a part of Death's chosen Scythes, a weapon and a meister must work together to capture 99 Kishin souls, and one soul of a witch. While not all witches are completely evil, they never found it fair that they must be sacrificed for the Grim Reaper's play things. That is why a revolution is about to start. Inspired by the late Medusa, their main focus is on attacking the young students of the school

Terms and Such:

DWMA: Death Weapon Meister Academy. Basically a school that you go to where you learn about and how to beat Kishin.

Weapon-Meister: Someone who has the ability to wield a Demonscythe. The two work together to eliminate the Kishin and create a weapon worthy of Death himself to wield.

Demonscythe: While they usually prefer to stay in their human form, Demonscythes have the amazing ability to transform into a weapon. Their ultimate goal is to become a weapon worthy of Death's wielding.

Witches: a term that is not gender specific in this regard, witches are beings that hold and control great magical power. Each one has a specialty. Their souls, if digested by a Demonscythe, will unlock that weapon's full potential. Because of this, let if be the witch good or bad, there is a universal hatred of the DWMA and any of those who swear loyalty to Lord Death.

Kishin: Souls that have strayed off the path of light and now are a risk to the balance of the world.

Rules:
1. All kh-vids and role playing rules apply in this thread.
2. No God-Moding, and no killing off other characters without approval by their player.
3. No OOC moments; meaning, if it’s a character from the show, don’t do anything that they wouldn’t do.
4. Keep everything PG-13! Swearing is okay, but nothing that I, staff, or the site deem as excessive.
5. Couples/relationships are permitted in the RP, but for the sake of some views of people, no Yaoi/Yuri.
6. Don’t control other player’s characters without permission.
7. At least five lines per post.
8. You are allowed to control any number of characters, let it be from the anime itself or original characters. I do ask that you don't take on more than you can handle. If things get too confusing, I will ask you to remove characters.
9. No spamming, please.
10. If you read the rules, please put “The DWMA must fall before it is too late” somewhere in your post.
11. If you have any problems, please direct them to either me in either VM or PM form.
12. Regarding original characters, you can chose to either play as a Weapon-meister, a Demonscythe, Kishin, or a witch. Any of the characters can also be teachers (excluding Kishin and witches for obvious reasons); just be sure to put it in your description.
13. I hold the right to deny any character that I don’t deem fit for the RP; which means don’t create a character that doesn’t seem to fit with the plot.

Short bio: The daughter of Maka and Kid. Just like her father, she is graceful but is not as obsessed with perfection as he is. Like her mother, Luna has a burning spirit and chose to wield a weapon who can transform into a scythe. She knows what her parents have accomplshed, leaving a big burdon on her shoulders.

Short bio: Meister Luna's Demonscythe, he has the ability to transform into a traditional scythe. He enjoys cracking jokes and doesn't take things too seriously. However, that's not much help when they have to fight a Kishin. In his mind, as long as we get the job done, it doesn't matter how we did it. When he wants to, he can take things seriously.

Short bio: Ruka and Hina are twin sisters with a burning hatred for a certain Weapon-meister they found at the DWMA. Their anger also extends to the others as loyalty for their other pieces of the witch covenant. All that they live by is anger and magic. Though Ruka prefers long distance magic and Hina enjoys getting up close and personal, the twins are inseperable.

He'll often be seen reading during lectures, though he tends to get great marks. Black*Star is the absolute bane of his existence.

Short bio: Hawk is an outgoing kid who looks up to Alex because he's so confident in himself, the two are great friends. Hawk often tries to get Alex to be more outgoing with people like he is, usually to no avail. He does well in his classes, but that's only because of Alex's help. His ambition is to be a Death Scythe, and he's confident that he'll do it with Alex's partnership.

Short bio: Being Ren’s partner, she trys to make sure he doesn’t do anything that gets him killed, even though it seems hard most times. To most people she seems to be nice and raely gets angry, but the only person to make her that mad happens to be Ren.

OOC: Okay; I'll start it

BIC:
It was the beginning of a new school year at the DWMA. Luna, a first year meister, had a lot to live up to because of her parents. Her mother was one of the teachers of the school and her father was Death himself, making her half Shinigami. Her partner was a young man named Light, a Demonscythe, with whom she had known since her days in Elementary school. She was a brilliant young woman who was looking forward to starting her classes.

"Light," Luna called out as she spotted the young man, "I'm glad I found you."

"It's good to see you too," Light said to his friend. It was traditional for meister and weapon to share the same class together, to deepen the bond that they shared. "Did you see who our homeroom teacher is?"

"Er, yeah."

It wasn't something she was too excited about. Luna loved her mother, but she just couldn't see her as her teacher. She didn't want her mother to call her out in the middle of class, or give her some kind of motherly praise when she got an answer right. Having her own mother as her homeroom teacher was going to be a pain in her side for the next year.

 

Renee huddled herself in her chair, waiting for Seren, her very own meister. "He's late again..."

Seren ran down the hall, his arms overflowing with books and papers. "Not cool...it's not cool for the hero to show up late to homeroom!" He tripped on a rolling pencil and fell face-first into the floor. "Oww....dammit."

 

OOC: Ah good, now I just gotta think of shenanigans fror Stein to have been up to.

BIC:
Outside of the academy crashes and explosions were heard coming from the Stein house, not a surprise nowadays, Dr. Franken Stein needed things to do ever since Death City had quieted down. No longer a teacher and not needed in combat with so many new students, Stein had become quite bored.

"That should do it." Stein had made the finishing touches on a new witch tracker.
"I'll show those kids who's still the master... it's me. This tracker will be able to track witch activity all over the world!......if there were some damn witch activity.."
Stein had a facedesk of a moment and wondered where Marie had run off to.

"I swear, you'd think she'd be more attached to me now that we're elderly and infirm-" Stein was about to finish sulking when his tracker went off, it was a small reading that disappeared after a moment. Puzzled, he wrote it off as a glitch for now.

 

Within Death city , Soul was fast asleep in his apartment , he was fast asleep on the couch and had fallen asleep the night before watching movie's. He turned in his sleep and fell off the couch and onto the floor with a loud thud for another few minutes he stayed asleep before his eyes fluttered open. Soul began groaning , rubbing the top of his head and sitting up. Soul realized he had fallen asleep on the couch as well as falling off. He slowly stands up and dusts himself off and groans a bit more before muttering to himself Well..that was such a uncool awakening.." He silently laughs at himself for using the word "uncool" again , something he hadn't used in quite a while. He had stopped using it after Maka had moved out and married Kid , he yawns softly and sits himself back onto the couch , going into somewhat deep thought about the past.

"Whoa!" Hawk gaped at the sight of the beautiful DWMA campus. "It's freaking huge!"

Alex shrugged. "So it is."

"Are you kidding?" asked Hawk in disbelief. "This doesn't impress you?"

Alex smiled, admiring his partner's enthusiasm for something so mundane. "I see it every day, Hawk. So do you."

"Yeah, but not this close! Look at this! We finally get to actually go here!"

"I'm afraid I have seen pictures of it this close...you know, in books."

Hawk let out a laugh. "Books? What are those!?" He gave his friend a punch on the shoulder, and they set off into the castle.

"So, I don't suppose you've read our schedule? Asked Alex, though he knew full well what the answer would be.

"Nope!" Answered Hawk, as he put his hands behind his head.

"I didn't think so. Well, we've had a stroke of luck. We have Maka Albarn for homeroom."

"Who?"

Alex stopped dead in his tracks and put up an arm which Hawk had to stop abruptly not to run into.

"Hawk. Think hard. Remember, or I'm going to be really, really pissed off. You know who the Hell Maka Albarn is."

Hawk gulped. Alex usually put up with Hawk's general tendency not to remember things, but when he got like this, he knew it was really important. It usually served as a good way to know what to remember. Now, who was she...

"Oh! I remember now. She helped beat the Kishin! She's Lord Death's wife."

"Good," said Alex as he put his arm down and continued walking. "She's a really big deal, so I want you to try your hardest in her class. And try not to embarrass me, please."

Hawk chuckled. "You've got it, but no promises on the embarrassment. I hope she has some cool stories about her past"

"Don't you dare ask her! Alex snapped. "I bet she hates that..."

Alex continued walking, trying to come up with a comprehensive list of things not to say.

 

"Would you just calm down, it's not my fault that were in this situation." Ren said to his meister. Today was their first day at the DWMA and he happened to over sleep.

"Don't give me that, if you would get up in the first place we could've already been in class." Kiza replied. Luckly they managed to make it to their seats. "Lucky for you we made it." she said taking her seat. Without saying anything back, Ren followed behind until he made it to his seat.

 

"I should get out of the house for a bit.."
Soul muttered to himself. He got up from the couch and stretched slowly before going to the bathroom to wash his face and changing his clothes. He then walked out of the apartment door and began walking towards the old basketball court he and BlackStar used to play at when young. He seemed to be having a day filled on looking back on memories for some reason.
