I've started watching Death Note & i'm absolutely lovin' it, but i was wondering if it is worth while getting the Manga? Plus how many volume's is there to the manga?
Good question I havn't got the manga either, but it can't be so long since the anime isn't awfully long.
About 12 volumes I believe. And we already really have a DN topic, well 2 technically, one died and the other one about the rules, but that has turned into a DN discussion thread.
I've read the entire manga, there are 12 volumes, 108 chapters to it. I believe the manga gives the same amount of suspense as the anime. You should stick to the anime, unless if you wanna reveal the plot to yourself right away.
There were 108 chapters, which was done in about 11-12 volumes, but same thing really. And I agree, suspense is the same, and the Anime progresses quickly.
So far, 32 episodes have been shown. As far as I'm aware, it's only got another 5 episodes. 37.. It's a shame it can't be a long-running series like Naruto, Bleach, etc.
I say stick to the anime, that is what i'm doing. I bought one volume the other month but the anime covered the volume in just 2-3 episodes, it wasn't very long to wait at all really. 32 episodes have airred so far, and it's said it will last for 37 episodes, so not long left.
I suggest sticking with the anime; the manga wasn't as good, in my opinion. I started with the manga, and didn't think it worked well at all. (Then again, I like my manga more serialized, like FMA or D.Gray-Man.) Zott (Zexion of the Twilight) finally bugged me enough to start watching the anime, and I love it. So my suggestion; stay with the anime. Plus, Light Yagami's voice actor is delicious. xD
