Death and Destiny Destiny smiles and death whispers to me Through shattered shards of silence And forgotten miseries tangled in webs There is so much to say at this very moment Standing in this enchanted forest The birds watch me silently with patience While the bugs crawl back into their holes I smile, knowing what the past means A mirror of knowledge to be looked upon Whenever help is desired or in need I require this time alone for myself To know that I have a purpose to this life But at least I know that I'm not alone I have the leaves, I have the air Which I breathe in when I'm in despair I know what the future holds for me So I make a small sacrifice In exchange for some comfort from the cold I dig up some dirt from the moist ground And make a tiny incision on my wrist The blood slowly trickles down to the patch of dirt Making me shiver as I see the crimson red It flows down like a river, mixes into the soil And I scatter the remains throughout the ground I hear the wind pick up, the trees move As I feel destiny pull me in While I sense death's presence nearby The end is looming quicker than I thought But it won't quite happen tonight
