Dear Staff,

I really don't see how that rule is taking effect.
All you have done now is taking premium away from the people you know cheated.
But not some of the rest that doesn't meet the criterias, IMO that would be treating members differently.
It's not fair that someone that doesn't meet up with the rule stays premium, but someone else who you don't think 'deserve' it doesn't get to keep it. ( By that I don't mean cheaters).

When you now take a look at the members list, you see people that are premium that doesn't meet the mark. but right over or under them there are people that ain't premium because they didn't make it before you made that rule. This is automatically unfair. Just look at the members list.

Members should be treated the same, not differently. Just because they're more popular or things like that.

When you make a rule you should play by it, and it this case that would be that everyone that doesn't have 1000+ posts and 50-70 rep shouldn't be premium.

I'm not saying this because I want people to lose their premiumship, I am saying this so everyone should be treated the same way.

I am not trying to make a big fuzz about this, but I am just wondering why ?

 

I think she's right. It'll suck for those of us who got to be Premium from the posts, but whatever...what's fair is fair, and the rules have changed.

 

Really I guess it's not fair even though I wasn't even close premimium

Edit: Wait That's totally not fair. both of those have to be required. No one goes on this site that much! It'll take me 3 years to become premimium! I say Protest!

 

I agree with your points and am glad there's another good ranter here. Every member shouldbe treated fairly, your right.

But at the same time I don't support this because I don't want to make 400 posts because some jackasses felt like abusing the system. I don't think anyone else who doesn't fulfil the post requirement does either.

 

Some premium members got their premiumship according to the old system set in place. I know I don't meet the 1,000 post quota but I got it through one of the old standards that were in effect at the time. Fairly, I might add, as I haven't lost it yet.

I know you want everyone treated fairly and that is what the staff is doing in this situation.

My old vB forum used a rep system to get Premium.

It's an absolute joke. It is abused in chats and on Instant Messengers constantly. Only posts should count. Reputation means nothing but you have lots of friends or make many, many, many considerable posts. I'm not saying everyone cheated but I have seen a staff member ask for reputation in a thread and not go back to 0. It's a joke.

 

Even though you're right about it not being fair, just like Fox said we got our premiumship before they changed the system.

And really, some people who don't meet the requirements obviously deserve it.

It's not because they're different.

It's because they had the premium membership before we changed it, and they were clearly well deserving of it (this applies to a large percentage of premiums, not a select few).

They don't count in the RP or Family section either. Read the forum describtion first to see what palces count posts.

It also wouldn't help if some idiot spams 10 times a day in each section that counts.

 

So you want it about quantity not quality.

Some people don't use it for the reason it is intended, but that isn't out fault as staff, but rather you as members. Repuatation is like it states, it's your repuatation, have a good reputation and your rep points reflects on that, like being helpful, making a GFX for someone.

Though some people use it for other ways, like 'rep me, I rep you back' repping for the hell of it etc etc.
