Kingdom Hearts II Dear Demyx, let me throttle you.

So I'm stuck on possibly the easiest bit ever. I'd just finished some place or other - can't remember where, think it was the second bit of Atlantis or w/e they call it where Little Mermaid lives. I had the choice of going to Hollow Bastion, Aladdin's World and some place or other - it has been a while since I played the game, I gave up in frustration at one point - and silly me, chose Hollow Bastion.

Now Hollow Bastion is all partied out and destroyed and stuff, and I have to save it's arse but it's proving difficult. As soon as I get to the first bit, Demyx, where I have to defeat him and his stupid water wotsits, I fail. I die about 20 thousand times then switch it off. I can't kill his water things in the time it gives me, and then at points where i've managed to, fail horrendously because I can't even make a dent on him, even when using my da-da-daaaa superpowers.

So, how do I go about this, or should I just start my game over again?

use Wisdom, equip loads of ethers, and spam fire.

Apart from that, Wisdom should keep you out of his long range, as long as you keep moving.

Shoot On the GO.

My brother told me to use Stitch as a summon or something. He defends attacks.
I didn't use it though, so just repeatedly hit X to kill them

Well...

....What I did was getting my sis to spam the reaction command button when the clones were up, so that I could focus on going the right way, which I kinda failed at alone.. x''D

Also, be careful to watch his movements :O then it's quite easy to figure out what he'll do and when, which will help you to avoid them.

Wisdom form is good too : D Just keep moving and shoot at him constantly.

I'm considering restarting the game anyway so I can do all the leveling up I need, since I'm stuck in Hollow Bastion and theres nowhere to buy any healing potions and stuff, nor do I have any summons :(

I fail.

 

Isnt there all the shops in Hollow Bastion though?
Like, where you can buy potions, defence items and all those things?

Nope, nothings available or anything. I can only go back to where Aeris and everyone all chillax to, or to where Demyx is. On my save point I can't even get to the gummi ship, it's all screwed. :(

So soon enough, you'll beat him. It just takes alot of attacking and locking-on. xD

 

I've attempted it about twenty times now though.. :(

What level are you playing? (Beginner, Normal, Advanced)

But I have a reason, I like to complete it in all three difficulties, and start off with beginner! Honest!

 

I'm on beginner too. Because I really fail at fighting games xD

It took me about 5 - 10 times to do it. I nearly killed my poor PS2 VIA throwing out window because it was too hard DX

Just keep on trying and trying. x3

 

I'll give it one more go, then i'll restart it if I fail again. Because I really want to play Aladdins world. (Read: Throw my PS2 out the window.)

This is somthing I really don't get xD-I beat Demyx on my second try,he was easy for me xD......A good tactic is to drive him into a corner where he can't escape then just keep rapidly hitting him by button mashing xD. Then he can't use his water ability's to send you flying.....but belive me-he'll break out of the corner eventually.

 

You know you don't need to stay at a world once you enter it. Go back to the world map through a save point and try your hand at Agrahbah and Pride Lands (Those are the two combat worlds that you should still have left).

 

Demyx, as his name sugests actually fights to a rythem so if you can match it you can do pretty well without breaking a sweat. Problem being that its not something you really learn. A sense of rythem is either something you have or you don't.
