Deadman Wonderland: Absurdity is Reality

Welcome to Deadman Wonderland, a wonderland to excite even the most mourful of people. All of our rides and shows are perfectly safe and free to see and use with the purchase of a ticket at the ticket window. Deadman Wonderland's participants in all the shows are trained actors. Any stunts they pull is for your entertainment only. Please, come and enjoy our Wonderland to make your day or night filled with entertaining fun!

Deadman Wonderland, the massive gravitation collapse of the formal capital of Tokyo. Ten years after that abnormal phenomenon known as the "Red Hole". This is the first and only Japanese privatized prison, which uses prisoners to generate tourist business for the revival of Tokyo. Due to the complete privatization, they have their own administrative system, as well as a streamlined facility combining both the short-term detention center and the penitentiary. They operate using the money collected from the prisoner shows and attractions. The bags dispersed to new entrees contain the most basic of necessities. As for the collars... Identification function. Stun function. GPS. There are numerous features incorperated for safety. A wonderland they send convicts on deathrow. Not only is it not a Wonderland...it's not a place you take pity upon its residents.

Here in Deadman Wonderland you, as convicts on deathrow, are serving a sentence to build, clean up and make entertaining of Deadman Wonderland, a theme park where those who are searching joy come. Since death row prisoners have poison constantly injected into them through their collars, they must eat the candy-shaped antidote every three days or they die. The Branch of Sin...a weapon fueled and created by blood. The Branch of Sin can manifest as any type of weapon but only one. As a Deadman here in this Wonderland you are but a little birdy trapped in a spiders web, so choose carefully of who is friend and who is foe.


The best guards on duty are the Undertakers, specifically trained to take down Deadman's. Their weapons are infused with the ability to destroy the Nameless Worm that provides each Deadman with their Branch of Sin, thus...the Branch of Sin does not work on Undertakers. But...like the Deadman and other inmates in Deadman Wonderland, the Undertakers have gone through something of their own doing that was horrific to land them a job in Deadman Wonderland.


Rules of the RP!

1. Follow the typical roleplaying rules please, they're there for a reason.
2. No god-modding, power-playing, etc...
3. Please don't use characters from the anime or manga. I'll know if you do.
4. Please try not to use one-liners. This has description galore written all over it!
5. Try to stay active. After three days without prior notice to me, your character will die. No antidote in three days...no life for you.
6. I am an exeption to rule 5 since I made this and I have a lot of other things going on too.
7. The Wretched Egg is unknown and otherwise not played by anyone...?
8. Questions, refer to me. I dislike it when people don't talk to me when they have questions or complaints!
9. Your Branch of Sin uses your own blood, if you have a projectile weapon like Ganta you will be afflicted with anemia (a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells) You shall pass out and be vulnerable.

Branch of Sin: creates a five foot sword out of blood from her palms.
Bio: Charlotte's parents divorced when she was at a young age. She lived with her mother until her mother's boyfriends started abusing her. Kidnapped from her abusive home, she was held captive and not even her father would pay the ransom to get her back. Death was their only option to gain their attention but before the blade was unsheathed, her captors fell dead at her feet cut into ribbons. Charlotte was found and brought home to her father where she proceeded to stab him repeatedly. Under the lie that it was a break in, Charlotte was taken back to her mothers and tortured her and her boyfriend until the police arrived with reports of screaming from next door. Sometime before returning to her mothers, Charlotte had slaughtered her entire sixth grade class and stuffed them in their lockers. Only found by the janitor weeks later.
Crime: Murder of her family and sixth grade class.

Bio: Haru lived a happy life when suddenly his parents died in a car accident. This changed his life forever since he has to move into a foster home, none of his other family members would take him. It was all good until he got adopted by a seemingly good couple but their appearance was very deceiving. He was constantly beat everyday by both of his parents, especially the mother. It was horrible because the family other relatives would do nothing but stand there and laugh. All of a sudden, haru got tired of it. It was a family reunion and his foster father punches him in the face, knocking his head into the table. Everybody stood there and laugh while the blood was leaking out of his head. He blinked and everybody at the family reunion was dead before him.

Branch of Sin: Hunting Hawk - His Blood solidifies on his arms or legs to give him talons to improve his offense and defense.
Bio: Before he was sent to DW, he lived a normal life along with his wife and their newborn baby. He worked as a bartender in Tokyo before the Red Hole incident. When the Red Hole incident occured, both he and his family were fortunate enough to survive. However, Ken began to show signs of madness. His anger would flare up for the smallest reasons, even if you just bumped into him by accident, he would fly off the handle. Eventually, his anger triggered the release of his Branch of Sin, Hunting Hawk. He came home one day to find his best friend with his wife. As soon he saw this, he went completely berserk and butchered his friend, wife, and his child in a blind rage. He was sentenced 2 days later and sent to G Block in Deadman Wonderland to participate in its most brutal spectacle, Carnival Corpse.
Crime: The ruthless murder of his beloved wife and child, as well as one of his best friends.

Bio: Light lived in a tough neighborhood. Having moved here from america, everyone always picked on him. to top it all off, his father was an abusive drunk. One day, as he came home from school, his father hit his mother. Light snapped, as he had been picked on a lot that day, and ended up stabbing his father 3 times before biting off his ear. He then slit his father's throat and just maniacally laughed as his father died. he escaped and a few days later, he killed the people picking on him (I'd describe it, but KHV staff would be pissed.)
Crime: 16 counts of murder.

Weapon: A katana that carries his family's crest on the hilt. The katana has been upgraded to better combat Deadmen with a vibrating blade that saws away at flesh as it makes contact. + A plain pistol.
Bio: Han comes from a long line of assassins that dates back to the period of ninja. It was expected of him to follow the legacy, but it was not his wish. On his 21st birthday, he was forcibly made to complete a hit. Needless to say, he became hooked on the thrill of killing. However, his enjoyment of the job made him become sloppy. While on a mission with family, he was blinded by his bloodlust and killed his father and two cousins. After a near-sentence into DW, it was decided that because of his skill he would do better as a Undertaker.

Bio: Ever since he lost his father to the Great Tokyo Earthquake and his mother getting remarriage everything in his life went from bad to worse. In the span of two years he discovered that his new father didn't care about them and often ended up beating all of them when ever he didn't get his way. While Ezek himself could take the pain, he hated seeing his mother and sister like that. Then one day his mother ended up in the hospital due to one of his father beatings. While his sister was at the hospital visiting her Ezek confronted his father and it ended with them fighting. The end result of their fight led to Ezek awakening to his powers, and brutally murdering his father and three officer than had came due to the screaming. The next day he was forcibly shipped off to Deadman Wonderland.

Bio: Formally a well known cop, as his sense of justice began to corrupt he started to killed anyone he saw as a criminal. it didn't mater to him whether they actually were a criminal or not. Eventually this got him sent to Deadman Wonderland were he became a Undertaker.

Bio: Shuya lived with his aunt and uncle after the death of his biological parents following the accident in Tokyo. He often kept to himself, and but in when he saw someone bully another person who was weaker than them.
Crime: Convicted of murder of three bullies as well as their families.

Since day one, those lights had shone down on all their heads and the walls closed around them. No matter where they looked, they were met by judging eyes, mocking voices, and an iron fist of despairing blood baths.

The lights flicked on, brightening the circular caged room with that single fake tree. Opening blue eyes slowly, Charlotte gripped her odd bunny tightly to her chest. Delicate black heeled shoes clicking on the ground as she moved forwards to meet her opponent. What was his name? Grey Goose? It was sad how she'd have to kill him to spare him the pain of living.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO...CARNIVAL CORPSE! THE BATTLE BETWEEN DEADMANS, CARNIVAL CORPSE. THE RULES ARE THE SAME AS USUAL. IT CONTINUES UNTIL ONE SIDE CAN NO LONGER FIGHT OR DIES! NOW THEN...LET US INTRODUCE THE DEADMANS! THE VETEREN WITH THE BLACK CLAWS, CROW! AND OUR 13 YEAR OLD NEWCOMER, GREY GOOSE!"

Grey Goose...was only a small boy accused of something awful. But Crow had done something worse. "I'll give you the best gift of all..." "As long as you die quickly!" the bunny in her arms spoke through it's razor sharp teeth and continued to grin at the boy. Brushing a hand across the rabbit's mouth, she pulled her hand away covered in blood. The blood swirled until it formed a five foot blade standing out from her palm.

"READY.... DEADMANS FIGHT!"

"Stand still now." Her black dress flapped around her legs as she ran towards the stunned boy and slashed through his leg. As the boy toppled over, Charlotte frowned down at him. "You were no fun... Too easy.."

"AND THE BATTLE IS OVER! JUST LIKE THAT, CROW DOMINATES THE FIELD ONCE AGAIN!"

It was only an hour later when Charlotte turned on the tv reluctantly. It was time...

"Alright, it's time for the fun hour after the Carnival Corpse that everbody can't wait for...the Too Bad for the Loser Show!"

Ms. Chiga stood before Grey Goose with her slot machine. "It's time to begin the Penalty Game." Grey Goose held a terrified expression on his face as the choices rolled around and around..."Stop..." Slowly...they lined up....TONGUE. "The tongue..." Ms. Chiga's face turned to one of expectation, joy and sexual desire as she prepared with a long pair of tonges in one hand, holding his tongue out of his mouth and a giant pair of shears. Slowly...she cut...tore...and ravaged the piece of meat until it flopped uselessly into a metal bucket.

 

Shuya had lost track of time just sitting in his room. He had to figure that it was at least mid day, since the penalty game from the last Carnival Corpse was being played. Shuya knew not to look too intently at the screen; he just used the show as motivation. Win! Win, so you don't end up like that guy, Shuya thought to himself. When he heard his stomach grumble, he knew that it was time to venture out into G-block and find some food. He had enough Cast Points to eat well for weeks, and surely had plenty of candy, but he never liked venturing out unnecessarily.

He walked out of his room and made his way to the cafeteria, humming a song he once heard on the radio in the Outside World

 

Light, or, as he was known here, Hummingbird quietly walked through G-Block, hoping for, well, anything really. He had a strange habit of snapping and going crazy in times of great stress. This is probably the reason he had about 50 cast points. It was thanks to this that he had managed to beat all his opponents. Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice Shuya walking, so he bumped into him. "Oh, sorry!" Light said. Then he quickly hurried away, frightened in case Shuya was mad.

 

"Jesus... poor kid. No matter how many times I see this **** I can never get use to it." Owl said to himself. Man how Owl hated the prison but what could he do? he had to get use to it but he just couldn't. "Ahhh man...I'm so hungry" A growling noise started to erupt from his stomach while he walks out of his block. His left hand in his stomach as walked through the halls, slamming his shoulder into Light while walking. He'd look at Light then Shuya, making a face to show that he was clearly annoyed.

 

As soon as the Penalty Game started on his t.v, Ezek turned away from the screen. he'd preferred not to watch it since to him, it was just another way of delivering punishment to those who lost but survived in Carnival Corpse. When the penalty game ended and the boy lost whatever came up on the roulette, he turned off his t.v and got off his bed. "Guess I might as well get something to eat." Stepping out his door, he just manage to catch Owl's dirty look. Guess someone must be ticked off.

 

Shortly after the result of the penalty game was revealed, Ken, known as Hawk by everyone else, scoffed and said to himself, "Well, that kid won't be giving any lip any time soon." He knew that Deadmen are forced to fight and that this was the result of losing. There was no point in him objecting. He couldn't do anything about it. After a quick glance at his clock, he decided to head out and get some food, he had more than enough Casts to afford two weeks worth of Candy, so he figured he would eat something in the cafeteria, or at the very least, grab a little snack. He didn't really care, just something to put in his stomach. As he left his room, he saw the others in the hall and just walked past all of them, paying no particular mind to any of them. Don't make any connections with these people. In here, they are just enemies that I haven't fought yet, he thought to himself as he left the behind to head to the cafeteria.

 

Charlotte flipped off her TV after the screaming had ended. Her appetite was gone...gone with Grey Gooses ability to speak clearly. They'd fix him with a metal tongue that would move sluggishly for the rest of his life. If she had to fight him again....she'd kill him. He should've died in the fight, like a true man. Leaving her room, Charlotte walked slowly around the G Block, watching, listening...simply observing the other Deadmans. If they wanted to fight eachother....why couldn't they do it without involving others? "It's funny..." she spoke clearly to all the Deadmans in the hallway, "How you all watch the Penalty Game and still get something to eat. I suppose...it shouldn't be a shock that you're already used to it...the blood, the screams... Right, Mr. Wrong?" she rubbed her cheek against her stuffed bunny's ear.

 

Light looked at Charlotte over his shoulder. "L-Look," he said. "Just go away, we don't want any trouble." He turned his head forward and kept going. What he said was true. He felt bad enough killing people so he could live, but he didn't need to kill someone out of the arena. She obviously wasn't hungry, so why couldn't she go bug someone else? And why did she carry around that stupid stuffed animal? It was all too wierd.

 

"Stand still now." the same voice...the same words were spoken as Light walked away. Charlotte hadn't moved. Slowly, she turned and followed Light. He seemed to react to her words and she was bored. "Oh, Mr. Wrong...that was impolite. You shouldn't use Carnival Corpse words against people outside the field of battle. Later today....there's going to be a dog race. I heard the prize is a piece of candy... I also heard...that they were searching everyone's rooms today for candy." A small smile appeared on her lips. Her words would gain everyone's attention, no matter how arrogant they were.

It had started during the Penalty Game...certain prisoners that the fans enjoyed weren't participating in the games anymore and it lowered ratings. Guards moved swiftly through the Deadmans and normal prisoner's rooms and crushed or took every piece of candy they found.
