Gunfights pile in the streets, as do the bullets bought,
Not seen a hellish battle like this since the great massacre of 1999,

On my 13th birthday, that’s the first time I died,
It was a quick blow to my heart, losing them completely,

The bleeding just wouldn’t stop, nothing stopped,
I never saw so much red in my life, stained on bodies,

Some how I came back, on my feet again,
That was on my 15th birthday, the second time I died,
This time it hit home, I saw her die, my hope vanished,

    I couldn’t believe I was left standing; I didn’t want to be,
On both sides of the fight, we lost people we loved, Wars funny,

I’m still awaiting my 16th year, and hoping for my hope,
The blood on my hands, it never washes off, never,
Wonder how I’ll die next time,
    Maybe I won’t comeback,
Must be a test of how much I can handle,
But at least my friends and foes won’t die, they have a purpose,

Their dreams are what’s keeping me chained to this world,
Should I thank them for it…?
