Hello guys, today I downloaded FF8 disc 1 and wanted to burn it in a CD to play it on that grey block they call a PS1. Anyway, whenever I assemble the image it turns out to be a .mdx file, and I want it to be an ISO. I tried changing the file name to FF8 disc 1.iso but before the image assembled I got an error message... Any help would be appreciated. BTW, the file I downloaded was a .rar with 3 files inside: a .ccd one, a .img one and a .sub one.
I don't think DAEMON tools can burn files to disc, only mount files. You could mount them to a virtual disc and then copy them with an actual recorder though. Regardless, it doesn't matter if it's .mdx or .iso. There is no difference if you just want to burn them.
That' s not enough, I burned some CDs that way and only a few ended up working (I swap CDs, no chip on my PS1). Someone told me there' s a special way to burn the CDs if you want them to work for sure, you should Google it (I know, it' s a mess, be patient or pray that someone more knowledgeable than me answers you ^^).
You're suppose to burn the both the .img file(it's basically an .iso file) and the .ccd file(text descriptor that marks the properties of the image) to the CD. The .sub file is a subchannel file and I'm not that familiar with it but it'd be best to burn it to the CD as well just in case.
Thanks guys... I'll try doing what turntechGodhead said and post the results. EDIT: Didn't work... Halp?
