Because Misty would not flat out tell me her smudge settings (curse her and her wicked ways) I decided to experiment. V1 V2 V3 V4 Needless to say i did not get the 'Misty' effect.
Kinda bland and grainy near the arm. I dunno if you wanna get creative and add some flow or depth there instead of it just sitting there. Text could be a little flashier, but I'm cool with it being simplistic. Fortunately this is my only complaint. Simply gorgeous <3 Smudging may not be like Misty's but it looks pretty damn amazing, regardless.
I said to myself, "Wow, this is some good abstract, nice and crisp, love the color. And the movement of the composition is sound" Then I noticed you used a render. Suddenly I find it less attractive. Take out a bit of the smudging below his arm, make it adhere more to the general flow of the white line, right not it's actually taking away from the movement. Finally, work around with blur and sharpen, not just sharpen.
This reminded me of the Noisettes. B| Anyway, I'm not loving where those effects on his right shoulder (well I suppose it's his left shoulder) are coming. They make him look very slouchy and a bit strange, but that's a minor complaint. I like the kind of spacey feel here. I think that the greens and blues idea is nice, but there needs to be more unity -- the very blue side feels disjointed from the greens and the oranges. Text is nothing special, but not bad, and I'm always a sucker for a space stock. xD I agree with Cin on the sharpening too. A little bit or grain can look alright, but there's a bit too much in some places. Otherwise, I like it. :]
