    DON'T GO NEAR IT

    that's how I kept dying

Keep your distance and do as many magic attacks as you can. It goes down pretty easy that way.

make sure to use a Phoenix Down just in case the boss lands a lucky hit on you. i was LV 37 when i beat the game but i thought it was tough at that LV. i also recommend equipping the Materia that causes Lucky Stars to appear more often (though it doesn't really help if Lucky Stars keeps appearing)

    Ah....hmmmm, forgot that part.

I miraculously killed him first go, it was Sephiroth I had trouble with.

All I can say is that after this battle, your in easy town.

There are some pretty helpful guides if you look in google. It's been a while since alot of people have played this game so not many of us remember. All I remember is that dodging is your best friend when it comes to enemy magic or skills, especially Genesis. I think I dodged the most when fighting him in all the battles.
