Who else here likes Crash Bandicoot?

Here are the games that I own.

From your guys' personal experience, what are your opinions?

    Crash Bandicoot:

All right, the first game in the series, or otherwise known as the game where there was no Coco Bandicoot. Anyway, this game was pretty interesting. Crash only knew how to spin here and did not know how to slide into enemies. All of the levels are relatively easy. The only levels that really got me were Pinstripe, Slippery Climb, The Lab, Nitrus Brio, and Doctor Neo Cortex. Most of my frustration with this game came from having tremendous difficult getting all of boxes in a lot of levels to unlock the special gem paths.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back:

Another good game. Mostly like the first game, but with a different way of accessing the levels and such. None of the levels here gave me that much trouble. Really, the only things that gave me trouble were the gem challenges and the newly added skull route challenges.

    Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped:

Now, this one... this one was one of my favorites. After defeating each boss, Crash would get a new ability, my favorite one being the Wumpa Fruit Bazooka. The gem and skull route challenges weren't that tough once I figured them out.

    Crash Team Racing:

Here's an excellent first racing game for the Crash series. I sometimes just battle myself in Battle Mode because I have so much fun with the weapons.

    Crash Bash:

Like with CTR, this one was pretty amazing, too, and all of the levels and their gym and crystal challenges are fun.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex:

Like Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was pretty much a clone of Year of the Dragon, this was a clone of Warped for Crash, but I found it to be more enjoyable. The music tracks were more interesting, as well as the levels.

    Crash Nitro Kart:

Clone of CTR, but I still haven't unlocked all of the characters.

    Crash Twinsanity:

    One word: Teamwork.

    Crash of the Titans:

Now, this one was pretty interesting, as it took a dramatic turn in terms of general Crash graphics and music style.

    The Huge Adventure:

Just a GBA clone of Cortex Strikes Back.

    N-Tranced:

Just a GBA clone of Warped.

I haven't played them all, but i got into a little bit of Crash through the Spyro demos (at the starting screen you press certain buttons your manual tells you to) My favorite ones were Warped, and of course; CTR. Love that game, better than Mario superkarts.

I like the worlds and all the little things about Warped. First game i played.

CTR- Crash characters+gokarts+green nitro boxes= Awesome. (It took me forever to figure out how to chuck the black bombs backwards...) Favorite Track, (name escapes me, haven't played it in over 10 years) (OMG im old o_0) the Wyoming canyon looking one:)

I believe that you're referring to the Dingo Canyon racetrack.

yeah that's the one!! I also loved the race track you have to beat Jumper Roo (i think thats name, if it is, wow...) in the submarine tunnel track. It was annoying at first, but then it was fun trying to dodge the TNT. (My game got too scratched over the years, and my PS2 won't play it anymore, my Warped works ever so often... but almost as bad. They are totally totaled. *sob*)

That one was also a favorite. You're referring to Roo's Tubes.

My other favorite racetrack is Polar Pass, mostly for its music.

These were some of the first games I played. :3 I believe I had Warped, Wrath of Cortex, and Crash Team Racing. I never made it very far in Warped or Wrath of Cortex (though I played them a lot!), and it's been years since I re-played them. I don't even think I have them anymore. But I definitely remember the horrendous loading times that libregkd mentioned in WoC.

Crash Team Racing remains one of my favorite multi-player games, though. I spent hours playing with my siblings, just racing and racing and racing. So much nine-year-old trash talking went on, man.

Ohhh man, Crash Bandicoot. That takes me back. I had a phase, yessir. Warped and CTR were my favorites, and I think they're the only ones I ever beat, although I played the first two. Hell, my friends and I still play CTR from time to time, it's part of all our childhoods. The races got pretty heated between me and one friend in particular. He somehow got clocks nonstop, and I just snaked like a madman. We did a circuit and I was neck-and-neck with him for a long time, but he pulled ahead. So I went home and practiced, beat the whole game over again, and next time we played I tore him a new windhole. It was great. MOST JUICED UP 4EVA.

Who do you guys play in CTR? I always pick Tiny. Tiny squish puny cars :E

I remember playing Crash Bash with my brother all the time. Man, how we hated the pogo-stick games.

Anyways, I think the only Crash Bandicoot games I havent played are the Mutant games, and Twinsanity. I don't think I played Crash 1 or 2 either. My favorite out of all of them, Crash Team Racing is my absolute favorite.

The original games were really interesting, but what was much more interesting was reading the "making of" blog where they talked about how they had to hack into the hardware itself to make the graphics and such as good as they were, there's a reason why the games still look amazing today. If someone's interested in reading it then you can find it here. Warped was always my personal favourite, I'm not completely sure why though, in hindsight Crash 2 seemed fresher, longer and harder than Warped. I still play CTR once in a while, it's so much fun, it might have been an Mario Kart clone, but I personally like it better. Crash Bash was great fun as well, I used to play it constantly with my friends. After Naughty Dog's contract went out it really went downhill though.
