Okay, here is my first Fan Fiction and it has actually NOTHING to do with any of the Kingdom Hearts universe, I just hope its an interesting story. Well, here it is: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter 01: Pride over fear * We’re in the Middle Ages, in 1473. Vic is a lone wolf who has travelled far across the sandy dunes of the desert in search for a place to stay the night. His horse, Agro, was exhausted. They arrived at some sort of oasis, and Vic decided to stop by for a minute or two. He led Agro to the small lake. ‘Here you go, buddy,’ He said. ‘You deserved it.’ Vic looked at his feet. Small samples of sand where carried away by the wind. The sun burned heavily on his head. Birds where flying towards a sand dune, which was strangely covered in shadow, but the sky was completely clear. Vic walked towards it. When he stepped on the sand of the dune, it moved. But it wasn’t the wind. He shocked, and quickly jumped away from the dune. A huge roar occurred. A giant basilisk-like creature raised above the sand. Vic ran towards his horse, Agro. The basilisk moved stunningly quick, but his speed was no match for the horse. But because of the soft sand, Agro became slightly immobile, and tripped over its hooves. The basilisk came closer and closer. Vic lured the creature away from the horse. It went after him, and went for the attack with his rock-hard jaws, but missed. Vic rolled away, while the basilisk was stunned from the impact. Vic jumped on the tail, and ran towards his back. The creature tried to shake him off, but Vic had himself clenched to the basilisk’s back plates. Vic got a good grip on its back, and stabbed the creature with his sword. The basilisk slammed onto the sand. ‘I sure hope no more of those things appear…’ said Vic, while regaining his breath. Right on cue, no fewer than three of those creatures raised above the sand, only this time, a tad smaller. Vic knew he barely stood a chance against one of those things, let alone three. He had nowhere to go and the three basilisks surrounded him, when suddenly, Agro ran right to the middle of the three. Vic knew his loyal partner wouldn’t leave the scene without him. He jumped towards the horse, and grabbed onto him. Agro went full speed, but the basilisks, while being smaller, where faster on its feet than the previous larger one. The basilisks slowly took over Vic and Agro, but they saw the desert turned into a large cliff, and stopped. Vic looked behind him, at the basilisks. He looked in the distance, at the large gap, and then again at Agro. He then quietly said: ‘Come on, Agro. We’re gonna make it.’ Agro’s eyes showed fear, but because of his loyalty to his partner Vic, he ran confidently towards the gap, charging his jump. The horse launched itself from the cliff. ‘Neigh!’ He made a loud cry, which echoed all over the environment. The jump looked daunting, but the two made it, just on the edge of the other side of the gap. Vic’s eyes where still closed, but when he opened them, a smile appeared on his face. He saw the basilisks peek over the edge of the other side of the cliff. He then taps Agro on the neck, and then he realizes they where not in the deserts any more. He looked around, and they found themselves in another kind of deserted country. He and Agro travelled around and saw an ancient temple. ‘I wanna know what that thing is…’ said Vic, and they approached the temple. When Vic and Agro got closer to the temple, Agro noted something. ‘What is it, Agro?’ Vic looked at the entrance. He saw it too. He saw someone there, a girl. Chapter 02: company She ran inside, with the two chasing her. It was quite a trick for Agro to walk the small steps he had to take to get through the entrance. When inside, Vic gets off his horse, and sees before him some sort of stone pedestal. Agro neighs; he sees the girl running away deeper in the temple. He wants to run after her but Vic stops him. ‘No, no, not you, buddy. You just stay here…’ he whispers. He runs after her, through a door, into a large room filled with statues. Finally he sees the girl clearly. He can’t miss her with that long, blond hair before the grey, damaged brick walls. She held on to some kind of statue. ‘It’s okay, I ‘m not gonna hurt you…’ said Vic. He reached his hand out to her. ‘Y-you’re not?’ she stuttered. Suddenly, a boy who was, at least, his age, jumped down from a story above, and attacked him. ‘Whoa!’Vic shocked. He grabbed his sword just in time to deflect his opponent’s slash. The two swords hit each other brutally, the two try to push themselves away from each other. ‘Who are you?’ the strange guy said with a soft, creepy voice. ‘Who are you?’ Vic asked. ‘Demyr, stop! He doesn’t want to hurt us!’ the girl shouted. The guy let loose of Vic which causes him to trip over. ‘He doesn’t?’ ‘ Pant, pant… Demyr?’ said Vic. ‘What kinda name is that?’ Vic almost died of laughter. ‘Shut up… or I’ll kill you.’ Demyr said. ‘Sorry for the rough receipt.’ the girl said. ‘We’re not used to unwanted company.’ said Demyr. ‘Calm down, Demyr, he’s not like the others. I’m Sarah… When I saw you and your horse arrive, I panicked, and ran away… and then Demyr came here to protect me.’ Vic shocked. ‘Agro, oh God, I left him all alone!’ when he checked at the main chamber, he luckily was still there. ‘It’s okay, there’re two of them, and they’re not gonna hurt us, buddy!’ said Vic. Demyr and Sarah came in. ‘And who is this?’ said Demyr brutally. ‘This is Agro, how about a little respect here, he’s my best pal.’ ‘You’re the one who should pay respect to me!’ shouted Demyr, as they where about to set up again for a duel stance. ‘So you’re Agro…’ Sarah whispered about. Vic quickly interrupted his all-aggressive behaviour. 'Wait, be careful! He doesn't li...' but Sarah seemed to knew well how to approach the horse. 'Thank you...' she said, while tapping Agro on the scapula. '...Thank you?' Vic said. 'For bringing you here, Vic.' she smiled. 'Well, ehm....' He began to blush. 'You're our saviour.' Sarah went further. 'Your... saviour? Why me?' 'Humph!' Demyr muttered. Agro neighs, trying to tell he's sensing something. 'What is it, Agro?' Agro remained still for the next few seconds. After that, the temple went overrun with small, lizard-like soldiers, kinda familiar to the basilisk Vic faced earlier only human sized. They had razor-sharp claws and their armour was rock hard. 'Damn... not again.' said Demyr with his teeth clenched. 'Are you up for a real fight?' he said in a challenging way. 'Agro! Make sure Sarah doesn't get hurt!' Shouted Vic. 'Neeiigh!' Agro takes the girl on her back, and ran to the utmost corner of the temple. Vic grabbed his sword. Agro ran with Sarah to the story above, to a balcony. When Sarah went off, she looked kinda obsessed at the sword Vic was carrying. 'That sword, I wonder if its true...' she thinks. The lizards went in the attack. Demyr took on three of them courageously, while Vic is not used to fight these opponents. He was jumped by one of them, and hits the ground. The lizard held him in a hold, when Vic and the lizard make eye contact. It was gross, and terrifying to witness. Its face was red, along with his whole body, he had those creepy yellow eyes, a long tongue, and big jaws. Vic was struggling not getting bitten by the lizard. The lizard raised its claws, and went deep in Vic's arm. 'Aaah!' he screamed in pain. He grabs his sword, and stabs the thing in the stomach. When it took away his last breaths, the lizard body's eyes lit up, and the body fell apart in hundred small, papery pieces. When Vic stood up, he looked around. Everywhere he looked where those weird weird lizard things. He was in panic, he didn't knew what to do. 'You don't know how to handle this, hero?' plagued Demyr, while holding off those lizards. 'I...don't know...' Vic stuttered. 'Vic, look out!' screamed Sarah. He looked behind him, and was attacked by a whole bunch of those creatures. Vic tried to protect himself, but the lizards already jumped on him. 'I cant... move... I... can't breath...' suddenly, an aura surrounded the sword Vic carried. The lizards suddenly stopped rampaging. A breaking silence occurred in the temple. 'Its him! He carries the legendary sword!' shouted Sarah. The lizards began to lit up, and where struck by a huge shockwave. All the lizards in the temple where struck due to the explosion. The light affected them and they where torn like paper. Another silence occurred. About 10 seconds later, Vic said with an echoing tone: 'There... the temple is cleared now...' and fainted. 'Holy...' Demyr was stunned by the awesome power Vic's sword holds. 'Its really him...' said Sarah. 'We really found him!' Agro jumps down from the balcony he and Sarah where standing on, and rubs his nose against Vic, but he remained motionless...
