Has anyone played this game before? I've been watching videos of it lately, and it seems like a good time.

In my very, very, experienced opinion (I played a lot of CS before :p ) CS 1.6 is a way better game. The only thing I believe people can say is that Source has better graphics, but as far as weapon settings, I believe 1.6 to be better.

What I am excited about though, is CSPromod. It's the 1.6 game with Source graphics. Everything is an exact copy of the 1.6 settings and properties, the graphics are like the source engine though.

The best parts of this game were the custom games and maps. I played CSS for quite a long time, and long after I got tired of the deathmatches and the standard ones, I was still playing games like Surf, Bunny, the one with the jail, Zombie. Man those games were great. The main game was pretty good, but like most FPS', it gets really boring after a while.

Yeah, The Half-Life engine (both the first half-life engine and the source engine) is very moddable, which is one of the reasons 1.6 has lived for so long.

Just bought this game and played. I love it. To me, what makes it so fun, is it's simplicity. There's no leveling, no killstreaks, just people with their guns.
