Kingdom Hearts II Connections: Roxas' Twilight Town and Roxas' Memories

Everyone knows the Alternative Twilight Town... Roxas' Twilight Town...

He only created it to place Roxas until Naminé Restore 100% Sora's Memories, right?
But, what about Roxas' life there?

1- DiZ do not know Hayner, Pence or Olette (just if he see them while buying sea-salt ice cream) but Roxas knows them in him Vacation Day in KH Days.

2- DiZ don't knows about "The Seven Wonders of Twilight Town" (I think it was just Pence), but again, Roxas met Pence and with Axel went to the forest searching for the wonder and Xion.

3- Pence give them (Roxas and Axel -KH Days-) information about the wonder, and in KHII, Roxas went together with Pence at first searching the Wonders.

4- Roxas and Hayner plays "Grandstander" in KH Days, in KHII, they fight in Struggle.

So... Alternative Twilight Town has some kind of connection with Roxas' Memories?

What do you guys think about Roxas' Twilight Town in that way?

 

Well, The alternate Twilight Town was created from Roxas's experiences and memories.
And then his memories were altered so he thought that he had always lived there, thus giving DiZ the time he needed so he could then focus on getting Namine to do her thing and help Sora...
At least, that's how I always thought it was.

So yeah, I think DiZ used Roxas's actual memories to make it.
I think that was even confirmed in a Secret report somewhere... but it's been a while since I played KH2 now.. :/ (so don't quote me on the report part lol)

 

I always thought the alternative Twilight Town did have a connection with Roxas's real memories. I think playing KH Days would make that pretty clear, I would list examples but it seems you've done so already haa, it was fun to spot all the little connections when in TT in Days to Roxas's time in TT in KHII. So yes, DiZ I believe created alternative TT from Roxas's own experiences and memories but only altered them slightly to make him think his always been there. If that made any sense? <>

 

The virtual Twilight Town was based on Twilight Town and Roxas' memories of it while he was still in the Organization but altered. For example, he was never close with the Gang while he was in the Organization but here he is. The place is meant to distract him until Sora's memories are recovered so he can't interfere. DiZ may not know about Twilight Town but he doesn't really need to; he just needs to alter Roxas' memories of the place.

The Seven Wonders of Twilight Town didn't really exist in the real version of the town, did they? I thought they were just a glitch in the system, hinting that Roxas isn't in the real Twilight Town.

 

I never really thought about it that way, I always just thought that DiZ made a duplicate Twilight Town with no changes to the people's characters except for adding Roxas into their world. However, I think your explanation is must more plausable, it certainly makes sense but the struggle and other work jobs are there as a real element are they not? Since you can play struggle in the real TT as well as the jobs like Grandstander. I do believe there are definitely aspects that are based off of Raxas' memories as well as in one of the Ansem reports.

 

Yeah, to find out something that lead to Xion, Roxas and Axel start to searching for all Twilight Town, then find Pence, and he seems to know something strange. So Roxas and Axel introduct themselves as one of "The Seven Wonders Fans" (well, isn't exactly this, but you can understand right? Pence is one of them) and so Pence told them about an Strange Tree in the Forest next to the Old Mansion, Guardian Soul.

And... Well, i think i got so excited and start to think so much in the part of the jobs, Ienzo... hehe

I'm not entirely sure, but I read somewhere that Diz had 'sampled' the hearts of the real Twilight Town's citizens so he was able to make their virtual duplicates as much like them as possible.

 

I always figured that the Alternate Twilight Town was just a town formed by DiZ to keep Roxas secret. But now that you mention it, it does seem like things don't fit. But the seven wonders might be in the real world or not, because there is the train that's real, but the others might just be glitches in the system that the Nobodies used to get it.
