I've made a thread about this before, but this time it's both a thread for telling what your common activities are on here and a question from me. Are you mainly viewing the forum list, the latest content, member profiles, managing account details, engaged in conversation, etc.? I'm usually either viewing the forum list or viewing the latest content. Now, here's my question: why are these mostly the activities I always see? Viewing forum list Viewing latest content Viewing Index [Forum Name] Forum and Searching Forums, respectively, on vBulletin.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that is where the user chose to stop. So if I get up to go do something, i'll go to the forum list out of habit, and stay logged in. Or some users are used to viewing the activity stream instead, so they go there. I generally, or I used to, just stay on my profile page while I was doing something. I'm not really sure where I tend to stay now. I think I usually just log off when i'm done doing things here.
It could be because that's where most people go before they click on another tab to do something else. That's what I do. Oh yeah, do you have a list of all the people who are usually invisible? It would probably help you to keep track of everybody.
