Commands and Command Styles of NPCs

At first I intended to make this topic about Birth by Sleep, asking about what sorts of commands and command styles Xehanrot and Eraqus would have used.
Then I thought: why be exclusive? There are plenty of interesting KH characters we don't get to properly play as.
So yeah, what sorts of command decks and command styles do you think your favourite KH characters would use?
You can make stuff up, obviously, or use an existing one in a different way.

Eraqus, personally, strikes me as a speedier and more defensive Sora, so I'd imagine him using many of Sora's commands, such as Sonic Blade or Zantetsuken. Obviously some light based moves in there as well, perhaps something along the lines of Mickey's Pearl?

Xehanort strikes me as a magic based Terra, and I could see him using magic equivalents of Terra's signature moves, though undoubtedly they would all be darkness based.
That said, he is shown to use regular elemental magic, like any other character.

 

Well I'm sure Xehanort's attacks would mainly be darkness based.
Yen Sid would probably be a magic based light character I think.
Then Kairi would probably be a lot of light attacks defensive attacks.
That's about all I can come up with though.

 

If you actually pay attention to that game and re:coded Sora and Eraqus pretty much do fight the same way. kinda like riku and vanitas. I attribute this to another star wars reference: Just like later star wars titles have different styles of lightsaber combat, the keyblade wielders choose a fighting style to master. (or at least around the time of BBS they did, have no clue how sora and riku ended up with the same styles... prbably cause of ven's memories.)

I would like to think that Yen Sid would use the -iza form of every standard magic. I loved Zero Graviza in DDD, and wish they had made that for every standard magic command.

 

That would make more sense if Sora and Riku weren't self taught

 

like i said ventus heart is inside sora. i mean ventus memories have always influenced soras life when you think about it.

 

Such as when he holds Riku's Keyblade backwards against Xemnas.

 

yeah, like that.:) (that and all the scenes they ripped off from the other kh games when they made Birth by Sleep.):D

 

But Ven doesn't fight anything like Eraqus, and Sora has very few similarities to Ven.
The way Sora weilds his keyblade is purely incidental. He holds it behind him while in Wisdom Form, and there's an attack in Final Form where he literally attaches his keyblades to his feet and does a flip. Holding a weapon in a reverse grip does not automatically equate to Ven. For example, in DDD, Riku briefly uses his keyblade in a reverse grip. It's just a style, and Sora and Riku are adaptable.

 

Actually I don't think they have at all. In fact, I can't think of a single time where Sora has acted as if two hearts were inside him. That's why it was such a surprise to see that Ven was inside him. But, if you can give examples of Ventus' memories influencing Sora, I'll listen.

That doesn't mean anything. It's purely coincidental.
There are only two ways to hold a keyblade with your hand: forwards or backwards. Just because he holds it backwards doesn't mean that he's doing so because of Ven.

 

on the matter of examples i refer you to a specific qoute: "Give me a break Kairi/Aqua".

 

That's hardly enough evidence to prove that he lived his life by Ventus' influence.
The writers obviously threw that in there to make the two seem similar in terms or personality and to show that they have the same type or mannerisms.

 

I wasn't saying that was all. it's just the most obvious. I suppose i should put down my thoughts on this in a different way considering that i'm not really getting my point across. I would like to point out ahead of time that I am not trying to be rude, the internet tends to make everything seem that way. What i mean is that BBS was made after the other games, and considering that they seem to fight so similar it seems very unlikely that they just "happen" to fight the same way, Especially considering that Sora was self taught. I guess what im saying is that im trying to speculate weather or not there is connection that will be brought up in future games.

 

sora definitely picked up SOME traits from Ventus. Most notably Strike Raid.
