Alright, first of all, the title is based off of this; My rank in Halo:Reach as of now, is Commander Grade 1, and my "Call sign" is M43. Anyhow v1 v2, less color CnC appreciated!
I like them both, but that border underneath where the render overlaps the box is sort of annoying. I'd suggest either removing the border or upping the opacity on the render. Other than that, great job. I like both versions, though v1 is my favorite.
:o Man, Norz, you always do really nice stuff. I'm pretty sure I like the second one more because there's no drastic change in contrast at all. The first one just changes too fast, and in the second one, those changes are more subtle. One thing I would like to say though, since you have the render popping out of its boundaries you should probably erase that bit behind the gun and behind the top of his head. But other than that, good job. c:
I absolutely love the first one because of the bright colours. I much prefer more colour xD Plus the orangey-yellow goes nicely with the blues. As people have said the boreder needs a bit of tweaking but apart from that I really like the popping out effect. The render is high quality which is always a great bonus so good job. One thing I will suggest is trying to blend the render into the background a bit more, at the moment it feels as though he was just plopped onto the background. It's easily fixable by taking a soft brush and rubbing out just tiny bits of certain edges- like the shoulder closest to you or the arm's join. Anyway, great job- keep practising you're definitely gonig in the right direction.
It needs some work, but your composition is not bad. It is rather empty, particularly in the top right. It is accentuated by the border. I appreciate that you lowered the opacity of the render, but it bleeds off where the render leaves the edge of the signature, and you do not want that. I suggest duplicating the render at full opacity, deleting all but those edges and fiddling with the layer options until it blends. Try dropping the one-pixel border. Not every signature needs a border, and I think this piece will look better without one.
