Collecting?

Ok so when it comes to collecting things what kind of things do you enjoy collecting and why? I like collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards and Video Games. I like collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards because I enjoy wondering what I'm going to get out of the packs or tins I buy. I enjoy collecting video games because well for one I've been playing video games since I was six years old and the second thing is I just like to give every video game a chance. It's like my grandma told me "You won't know if you like it until you try it" I've tried a lot of them from Lufia, to Fire Emblem, to Metroid.ect

 

In the past, I use to collect rocks. Once I grew up a little, I began to get a large sum on Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon Cards. Now that I have moved past those things, I try to collect much different things. I enjoy to collect manga and anime. However there is one thing a Pokemon Master always comes across, and that is to catch them all and, dare I quote Pokemon 2000, add to my collection.

 

I still collect Pokemon. I started collecting when I was 10, and I'm still collecting, mostly action figures and plush rather than cards like I used to since I don't play anymore (although I still pick up a pack every now and then)

I collect dice too. Most of them are typical D&D dice (d4-d20), but I like finding some oddball ones here and there. I own two d30s, a d54, and a d100. I have two sets of d10s, one set has Rock-Paper-Scissors on them, the other has the numbers in French. And more recently when I visit a casino I try to get the "retired" dice for that casino (these have holes drilled through the middle). I have two sets from Vegas, the rest come from Atlantic City.

 

i used to collect Pokemon cards. i have also been sort of "on and off" collecting yu-gi-oh cards. at times, i've gone years without thinking about it and then there's some times that i just end up buying some just because.

 

I used to collect Yu Gi Oh cards. I had tonnes of rare ones.
Then my mom got me to give them to my cousin, who promptly sold them for hundreds of dollars.
Never again.

I love collecting things.

I guess I collect manga, I started years ago and just can't bring myself to quit now. The only ones I buy are Bleach and D. Gray Man. I used to buy more but I either lost interest or didn't want to have to pay the money for the series, so I sold them.

I collect Gundam Models, I used to go crazy with buying these, but it's a really expensive hobby and collection to maintain, so I'm selling a lot of the ones I don't want, and limiting my collection to a select few. I've frozen all purchases for this collection until my video game collection is caught up.

My video game collection is not very big, and I don't want it to be. The only thing I really want in my collection is every Kingdom Hearts game that has been released. They must be in their complete form, and they must be the way that they were released on their 1st printing. (no greatest hits and shiny/holographic) I'm only one game short right now, BBSFM, and the models I'm selling right now will go to me purchasing that. I plan on getting a few more games, such as Persona 3/4, TWEWY, some Final Fantasies, and a couple other random games, but I only want to do that after I've gotten every KH game, and I would like to only get them once I've completed every game to the fullest (max level, journal completed, secret video unlocked, and whatever else) but that is a lot, so I'll probably break down and get one of those before I reach that goal.

I used to be crazy with yu-gi-oh and pokemon cards. As well as Naruto and DBZ, but being incredibly foolish one day years ago I just threw them all away for reasons I don't remember, and to this day I still hate myself for that.

 

I hope this isn't weird or anything but I am very fond of the codes on here and have been adding each code for the kh games I own to my collection. I have a akbazillion amounts of paper printed for the codes I used and tested on here

I collect complete series anime(Which has been making me flat broke ^^")

I collect Imported Game systems(I bought the Japanese PSTriple when I was 14 cost 3g's regretting it to this day because this too is making me broke. Not sure if any of you remember but when the PS3 1st came out I believe the 80gig was like 1grand) I haven't had the chance to import a Wii and Wii U or PS2, but the money thing is really just not looking so good right now.)

I collect anime contacts too. Not sure if any of you seen my Sharingan, but I'm trying to get each one of those and the other contacts they have on the site

And when I have the money any game that comes out the collectors edition or the edition where you get the most stuff and ahead of people when it comes to DLC and things like that.

Also the Chrome Series 360 Controllers. I only have the blue one, but I will get the others I just can't wait to cop those XD

I am trying to buy all the Utada Hikaru CD's I have 4 of them still need to get the rest

Not sure if this counts, but mentally increase the amount of anime to fulfill my thirst(Which won't happen since its Anime All Day.)

 

I too used to collect Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Not anymore though. I also have a collection of TY's (beanie babies) in my room.
Currently, I collect scarves. I Love all the different colors and styles they each have. So everywhere I go, I will buy a scarf from that place. ^-^
And of course video games and game consoles.

 

I used to collect tons of different kinds of trading cards. Yugioh, pokemon, magic, .hack// and the like. I enjoyed collecting them and I still buy some on occasions. It was just interesting for me to see how much the collection could grow over a time.

 

I used to collect pokemon cards, and 39 clues cards, but I got tired of it. Now, I'm collecting books, music cds, and KHR stuff.

I used to collect these little toys called GoGos, I may still buy a pack every once in a while but I am not as crazy as I was. I still collect pokémon cards, I have rarely ever played the game but the designs on them are really nice, I like to collect comics, that means any kind, manga, American, French, , I really don't care, mind you I do read them. I also like getting the complete collection of videogame series that I like, I say that but I have never completed a series, but I am doing it now. I don't know if this counts but I try to 100% games that I play, getting everything the game has to offer. I also collect, weird as it sounds, rocks. Not any old rock, but, prepare yourselves, rocks that appear to have faces, some rocks have holes or patterns on them that have the appearance of faces. Don't judge me.

 

I collect video games, particularly role-playing games and action-adventure, but I will occasionally delve into another genre if the setting appeals to me (giant robots are a big plus, as are mythologies of various kinds). I'm gradually becoming more of a collector than a gamer, having about six games in my shelves that I haven't even played yet. I'm kinda stupid like that.

 

As a kid I collected coins, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and probably a whole host of other things I promptly lost interest in... Nowadays I would not consider myself much of a collector, but I do love to purchase books. I love reading but I also love seeing all the different covers & etc. of books. To date my biggest obsession is probably Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, of which I own three copies (one that I use for general reading and is pretty beat up, one in an omnibus of Austen's published works, and another copy from the early 1900s that has that lovely old book smell), with I'm sure many more on the way.

I don't want to give the impression that I want the books just because they are pretty and I want to ~decorate my home~ with them, I do love to read them as well, but there is little more beautiful to me than endless shelves of beautiful books I hold in passionate regard.

 

As a kid i collected Pokemon,Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon cards, Moved on to basketball card. But as of now i just Collect Video Game memorabilia and Collectable action figures. Consisting of DBZ,Pokemon,Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy :). its a neat little hobby ive picked up recently while trying to raise my credit :P

 

I love collecting Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, especially the old school ones.

There are some reprints of old cards, but I always like the old format they were printed in :P

 

I used to collect Sonic the Hedgehog comics and video games. I had my SNES for ages before I sold it and still have my Genesis and Sonic games along with Ecco the Dolphin 1 and 2.

I actually collect model horses now. I enjoy looking at them and keeping them on my shelf in my room. I have a ton of them, more than I really should have as I'm running out of room for them, but I always get the holiday horses and the rare models when I can.

 

I'm not a collector. I do purchase movies and books but I just as often give them away. I find it easy to part with things, even the things I like; I know they can always be purchased/rented/borrowed/found again in the future. I don't pride myself on having first or limited edition of things. If something is one-of-a-kind, I find them to be more of a liability. I do try to keep the things I own in good condition, but if something of mine accidentally gets scratched, stained, or torn, I don't mind. I think sometimes I can probably part with everything I own and not miss them. I've previously tried to collect things in attempt to gain a hobby, but those too I gave away to persons I thought might be more appreciative of them.
