Does anyone know how to use it and if it works with imports?

 

yes i know how to use it. i used to use it. and yes it DOES work for playing import games. it's pretty much a swap magic except free and requires a bit more work to get it working. but it's good if you dont' want to mod your system. but if you don't have anything yet, and have a fat PS2, i would recommend you researching HDLoader instead. that's what i currently use because it's just better in every way.

 

Can you explain both to me if it's not too much trouble?

 

both are exploit programs. they can both be booted up in various ways, but you either need a Codebreaker, or you need to create a trigger disc. it takes some work to get a trigger disc working though, but a trigger disc MUST be an original PS One game. both are programs you need to install to your memory card, they take up quite a bit of space though. cogswap is the same thing as swap magic. pros are that it is free and works great. hdloader installs games onto a harddrive that can only be attached to the Fat PS2. pros are that it saves your laser from wear and tear, and loading times are better. cons are that it has some one time expenses and sometimes has compatibility issues. anyways, you NEED some way to install the program onto your memory card to get either method to work. or you could order Swap Magic or the HD Advance disc which are both pretty much disc versions of these programs which require no work to get up and working.
