Does anyone have some tips for fighting Cloud and Leon in Hades Cup? I've tried attacking Leon first but Cloud does his wonderful version of Sonic and smashes you in the back. I've tried attacking Cloud first but then Leon belts you with his special moves. My shortcut spells are X = Cure, Square = Aero, Triangle = Firaga. My Keyblade is Oblivion, and I'm level 54. (I think. Around 54, anyway.)

    Any ideas?

What armour are you wearing first of all? Do you have a low defence stat?

Don't rely on Cure alone, have some Hi-Potions just in case. I'd just go back to the previous cups and learn from their attack pattern. Once you get used to how they fight and operate, it'll get easier.

Having some of those special attacks (Ars Arcanum, Sonic blade, etc.) helps. I'd recommend making sure you have those equipped.

Usually I'd focus completely on Leon first cuz Cloud's attacks doesn't get very serious until after he loses a certain amount of hp. Try to make the fighting distance far between the two of them and definately cast Aero and Cure spells. Also, try defending against as much attacks as you can...those can give u a good opening for special attacks.

If you're going to use special moves, don't abuse them. (Sonic Blade, Sonic Raid etc) Even though they give you a brief moment of immunity to any attack, they drain your MP fast.

I would actually go for Cloud first. Leon will take cheep shots if you're not looking but Cloud likes his sonic blade from the begining and that is capable of taking you down fast. No matter whch one you go for don't ignore the other, its when you don't pay attention that you get slaughtered.

When I fought them I went for Cloud first since I could fly around or jump around and avoid Leon for the most part. It's almost the same strategy as facing Yuffie and Leon, but sometimes you do need to get Leon off your tail when Cloud moves around. The key to winning is to basically try to move around a lot and don't stay stationary, keep on one of the targets, either one will do, but because both move around a lot, if you have to switch to one to do a combo or something, do it, then go back to your main person you chose. That way you knock the other one down some but keep on one main target and don't get 'back stabbed' too much.

Stock up on hi-potions and have the cure spell ready easily. Save Ars Arcanum and anything that costs MP to a bit later in the fight so that you break one of them down and can use it when things get hectic. Listen for either of them to 'yell' because it's a clue they are doing one of their bigger attacks so you want to move out of the way. Hope that helps some.

I always saw Cloud as the biggest threat, so he was the one i always went for first. Like Repliku said, do not stay stationary, you're asking to get your toosh whooped.

When Cloud starts flying around, i used dodge roll or tried to fly away (flying didn't always work) until he stopped. Went in for the attack and went crazy on him. Remember to keep an eye out for Leon. Play it defensively, and attack when you see the opportunity.

If Leon gets too close, use an ice spell on him and run away. If you're defeated Cloud though, run in and attack him.

Use your hi-potions and cure magic carefully. Start by using your cure magic first, but if you find that your taking more damage rather than dealing any use your potions.

I never saw the need for any special moves like Ars Arcanum, i thought the MP would be more useful for spells.

If all else fails, go out and train some more or get better armour and keyblade.

Edit: Wrong section, but no problem i'll go ahead and move it for you. ^^

    Moved.

I've always taken care of Leon first in this battle, but it always depends on your stats and what strategy you use.

Leon is easier to kill, so if you get him out of the way you should be able to focus all of your attention on Cloud. Just dodge roll if Cloud tried to get you while you're fighting Leon. Leon isn't too hard.

Than, as far as Cloud goes, you just have to get used to his attack pattern. I found that attacking him from behind works much of the time.

Like Kitty and Repliku said, don't stay in one spot for too long.

If you still can't win, level up and try again until you do.

Guard and dodge roll are your friends. :D Use them. Guard is really good for interrupting Cloud's attacks, especially that sonic blade of his. While you shouldn't worry as much about Leon, don't ignore him. It's best to dodge roll away from his attacks. I don't know, I always found Leon's sword harder to guard against as far as timing goes. Don't bother with any special moves, unless it's strike raid. If anything, strike raid will at least grant you immunity to damage while you're doing it. But try not to. I always pick off Leon once Cloud is dead.

well, first off it depends on what you chose at the beginging, sword, shield or rod, i've got no clue about rod, but if you're a sword then rely on mainly you're attacks (duh) and stay 'moving' don't give them a chance to hit you. also, don't rely on magic too much as of, it takes up to much time, stick to Cure/Cura/Curaga (depends on which one you have>_<) and even then, you should focus on Leon first because he has the lower HP. Shield is the exact same just easier because you have more HP/. oh, and i know this is really irresponsible, but don't worry too much about you're armor, i 'litteraly' had no armor while i was doing this. oh and to hell with the oblivion man! it takes up too much magic, even after i got the oblivion i didn't use it, i used the oathkeeper and now i use the lionheart(the keyblade you get when you defeat them has 10atk and gives you +2 magic) oh, and if you can get the ultima get it because i'm level 71 and i still don't have it:(
