The waves lapped gently on the shores of Crey's Folly. The green polluted water pulsed with countless pollutants and mutagens. Orion Energy sighed and rose to his feet. He was normal hight for a hero but somehow he still felt short. He was white with red boxes and panells all over his "skin". Orion Energy wasnt human. He was a robot, more of a cyborg because his human heart and brain were still alive, keeping him who he is. Without them he would fade into nothingness. Not in the literal sense but his personality would vanish he would become mindless destroying the enemy without any morals or purpose. After finally achiveing Security Level 32 the missions were pilling on.

Lord Recluse and the Arachnos troops were gaining a strong foot hold and Statesman and the Freedom Phlanx wanted them out. The Freedom Phlanx was made up of Statesman, Synapse, Positron, Sister Psyche, Numina, Manticore, and Citadel. The Surviving Eight. Many years ago a alien race known as the Rikti (Ric-ti) had waged war against Earth. The superhero force went out to combat them and the only surving heroes became the Freedom Phlanx. These 8 heroes had such amazing strength to have survive. There were thousands of heroes in the war from all around the world and only 8 surived. This is why the Rikti were such a threat. Now a new threat, Arachnos a army of spider themed supervillians, had arisen and the Freedom Phlanx did not want another war. Orion Energy had signed on to help defeat them because Arachnos had killed his brother, Silent Orion. Though as a cyborg he didnt completely register sorrow and rage. He enegized his anti-gravity unit and energy core. Arachnos wanted a base in Paragon? Well, Orion Energy was going to make them fight for it. He rose into the air and headed to the supposed Arachnos base. He pulled on the door and found it locked... Why wasnt it a surprise. Summoning inner strength from his core he sent it out through his outstretched palm and disintegrated the lock in a blast of blue and purple light.

The first few minutes the Arachnos were of the normal variety, with bolts and bursts of energy flying back and forth destroying the Arachnos force. If a soldier got in too close he simply energized his gaultlets and smashed them. After about an hour more the half of the base was empty. Nothing of importance was found. It seemed as if the Arachnos was pre-ocupied with something else... could another Hero be working against this base? Or was it a raid from a different Villian faction? Orion Energy rounded the next corner and stopped dead in his tracks. No wonder they didnt seem worried about my presence... he thought.

Strange black creatures with glowing gold eyes were decimating the spidey-heads. With every soldier fallen another black 'thing' seeped out of his corpse. When the Commander of the unit finally fell not only was a black thing made but a silvery strand came out as well, wich simply dissapeared. The black things on the other had simply attacked. There had to be atleast 50 or more. Orion Energy was not built for hand-to-hand combat he knew he couldnt take this many down at such a range. It left him with no choice. Orion overloaded his energy core, the resulting surge sent energy waves out of every pore in his robot body. The resulting explosion left no trace of the black things... what ever they were called.

These things were not Arachnos nor could Arachnos hold a candle to them. Orion activated his emergency medi-com patch and teleported home.

"Wow, you looked banged up and all dented Orion!" Taxibot Blamm said. Taxibot Blamm was a friend of Orion's, allong with most of the Taxibots. The Taxibots ran the teleportation system in the City.

" Yea, I had a run in with some nasty Black Things, certainly not Arachnos whatever they were." Orion commented. "Anyway can i get a Teleport to Freedom Phlanx HQ in Peregrine Island?"

"You got it Orion!" Taxibot Blamm said as she energized the teleporter.

Apearing right infront of the door to Freedom Phlanx HQ, Orion went to rush in. In his haste he bumped right into Statesman.

"Statesman! Thank goodness i found you! I ran into these wierd black things and they totally wiped out the Arachnos base! I barely defeated them with a Nova!" Orion Energy explained.

" A nova huh? They just barely were killed with that?! Well they must be tough come inside and tell me what..." Statesman began when suddenly little black holes appeared all around them. In stead of the formless creature like black things from before these looked slightly human shaped with armor and a strange symbol on its chest,

........ Soldier Heartless....... A voice in Orion's head rang out over and over again.

"Wha?" Orion stumbled with all these sudden thoughts. Taking advantage of his situation one of the Soldier Heartless knocked him out with a sudden hi-kick. Orion sored for a few feet before regaining control. "Careful, Statesman! These things are really strong!" Orion called out.

The Soldiers around him suddenly all dissapeared. In there place a person in a black coat stood.

"A robot with a heart, a mere toy yet you are alive... how can this be?.." the man said to himself..

" I am no toy I AM REAL!" Orion yelled as he charged the man. The man gave out a soft chuckle and hit Orion Energy square in the chest. Orion went fly back and smashed through a building bits and pieces of his armor breaking off.

"Hmph! Look at the toy break!" The man shouted. Enraged Orion let of a volley of his most powerfull blasts. They hit the man first in the arm throwing him off them pumelling him into the ground.

"Maybe you are worth it after all" he said as he dissapeared. Orion was exausted and wiped out. Statesman had finished off the Heartless things but more had apeared and were attacking civilians. Statesman went off to help them. As soon as he left more apeared around Orion. He had put all his strength into that one blast to damage the man in the black coat and he was already extensively damaged. Orion colapsed to the floor as the last dregs of energy in his body ran out. Great he thought, i just ran out of power.. these creatures will have no trouble defeating a deactivated robot...

As his optical sensors slowly went offline the last thing he saw was a boy with some strange thing smacking the Heartless and destroying them with ease.....
