Square-Enix Chrono Trigger on the DS *Confirmed*

I usually try not to get all worked up over rumors, especially for a game which seemed like they werent gonna remake/port in the past few years. But I pretty much just **** myself after seeing this. I'm hoping on hope that there is at least some truth to this rumor.

Ive never played Chrono Trigger, but im gunna guess its good due to its high popularity .

 

If you like RPGs, I strongly suggest getting this if the rumor turns out to be true. Plus there are hot cave women that join your party. Who doesnt like that?

Yeah, I realized that as I hit the post button xD. Too busy counting down till that 2.40 lol.

If this is true, I hope the port is SNES version but with all the PS verions' extras. Although either way I'd be happy just to have it at all.

Well I officially love you now.

Now I just need to wait and see if its a direct port or that chibi 3D thing they've been doing with the FF remakes. 2.40 and now this has made this day awesome for me. Now all they need to do is announce Mother 1&3 coming to the states and I'll be in heaven.

As you can see, not only is it official, but it appears from the new countdown on the NA version of Sqaure-Enix's site that this will also be coming out in America. In addition, it will be a SNES port, but with new features such as a new dungeon, wireless play, and touch-screen functionality.

Its unfortunate to see that it isnt a sequel, but I am interested in how the touch-screen would be used and the wireless play.

 

They say this game is gonna be released earlier than we thought, i'm excited, this RPG was one of the bests.

Heard it over the subtitles in Attack of the Show! this afternoon, and my mind went ballistic.
One of the most legendary RPG's, finally getting remade.

Gawd, finally Chrono Trigger gets something worth recognition after over a decade of the game disappearing.
Let's hope how fellow Square-Enix doesn't screw it up.

( Imagine Tetsuya Nomura's legendary art style mixed with the CGI incredibility that SE has to offer with the characters of Chrono Trigger. Pure, win. )

Thats a real on topic post there buddy. If you dont like his art style, try explaining why, and making a post thats actually relevant to the fact that Chrono trigger is coming to the DS.

I've been waiting for another port; I can't stand the PS loading times and my SNES games have a bad habit of erasing save files on me.

This is great news. This is one of my all time favorite games so I hope it will happen and it gives me a reason to keep the DS longer than just for 358/2 Days now.
