Digital Art Choosing a program

I want to start making sigs but I don't know what progrma is the best to get? Can anyone tell me what program is the best to get and where I can get it?

Use GIMP! Look at my first siggy. Thats just BASIC GIMP!

 

Go with GIMP it's free and I think it works just as good as PhotoShop. Just take a look at my sig and avvy.

yeah, GIMP is the best if you don't want to pay for photoshop.

 

I think Photoshop's price will go down if you use your student ID card. But if you do, then you can't use photoshop for "commercial use".
