Okay, I see a lot of role-plays here and I'm here to help those who want to become better role-players or start one but are un sure what to do. POST LENGTH Four Sentances should do the trick. I know sometimes you don't know what to write. AKA a writer's block.So when I do just OOC at the bottom. Simple Right? EX: OOC:// Writers Block Its not hard and doesn't take up space. CONTROLLING CHARACTERS This drives me nuts. Sometimes(and not just here) I see people god modding. Or Controlling some one else's character. Now it might just be me but I don't like when people do it ecspecially when you're in a fight or something. Ex: That is God-Modding what I think would be better is EX: Charlie had a sharp eye and put out his paw ariming to trip Red. Even if he was wrong with the calculations she would eventually and most likely trip. Then he'd have the advantage of killing her or attacking if he felt. I think that'd be a little better Role-plays Belong to Their Creators! I think that could be an issue. Respect the owner of the Role-Play and don't get frustrated if you're gone for a day to a week and they play one of the characters that are major and you asked to play. Ex: You are playing Roxas and you leave for say a week without saying anything. Chances are that you're character will be played by the Creator or Someone else who might've asked for the job! KEEPING TRACK OF THE STORYLINE! Okay, a lot of times role-players don't wait for the others to reply, and just keep posting. After about like one page they will come on and Ooc:// Whats Happening? Now that makes me think A. Their Lazy B.Stupid C.Both. Okay its right in front of you. Would a page kill you? I mean if everyone posts 5 paragraphs(I've been in those role-plays) and they go through three pages I can see. Or if you're on vacation and when you left there on page four and when you come back its on page fourty-three. Okay there exceptions to that. But seriously if they posted a page or two would it kill you to read it? Out of Character Discussions A lot of people don't like it. Sometimes there's exceptions -Points to first post- but seriously I think PM's or IM's are the thing for that. Signatures A lot of people aren't bothered by this but I sort of am. Because a lot of them are huge! A lot of times they don't listen when the creator says [size=4"]NO SIGS[/SIZE] I think then you should take it off. Its simple and easy. There's a button that says "Show you're Signature" Press that and it won't attach the picture. Ex: This image belongsw to Claymore of BaltoSource Easy Right? Asterisks to denote Actions I believe this goes for any place that you are roleplaying. Asterisks (*) are for actions from you, like *glomps* or *hugs*. When you are roleplaying a char', it is ment to be written like a book. If it isn't, you will confuse people. As bad as a lot of people are at roleplaying, most know better than to use asterisks. Ex: *Looks down Oh Gets Up* Ex: "sighs looks up i hate" *my life lays* "down" I think it should be:// The wolf looks down to see themself sitting upon another wolf, who was to weak to push the wolf atop it off - or possibly that the wolf was simply not as strong as the first. "Oh," The wolf said, slightly embarrased to see itself upon another wolf. At this point, the wolf got up, and off of the weaker creature it had been sitting on. Should Be:// The wolf sighs, looking up. "I hate my life..." They muttered, as they laid down. Puncutation and more. I see a lot use puncutation and me being lazy don't really use periods. I do however use other correct grammer. Ex:// 'What's Up?' XuXu asked walking over to his friends ; Deni, Kari, Axel , Black Shimmer(Belong to their owners at BaltoSource except for XuXu) 'Hey hows it going?' Axel called looking up 'Where have you been?' Kari asked and was greeted by other hellos Right Ex: "Whats Up?" XuXu Asked Walking over to his friends; Deni, Kari, Axel, and Black Shimmer "Hey! How's it going?" Axel called looking over at his friend "Where have you been?" Kari asked mean while the others said there hello's to XuXu. Better right? I think So! PROFILES Okay, well I'm setting up profiles for the story lines for Fan Characters ir for people who want them to fill it out even though they know what the character looks like. Horror Name- Age- Gender- Personality- Friends- Physical Apperance- History- Extra- Something out of the Whim Name- Age- Gender- Personality- Picture- Dog/Cat other animal role-play Name- Age- Species- Image/Description- Mate- Cubs- Personality- History- Extra- Okay so now you've seen my guide to role-playing I hope it helps at the very least a tiny bit. :] :lol:

Okay, I was just wanted to make sure all the role-players saw because some people only talk in role-play rather than the other sections
