No Thanks Character Limit

I know this has been brought before when I suggested getting the limit reduced to five from 10, but that was back on vBulletin.

Anyway, as you guys know, at the beginning on XenForo, there was no character limit. However, people started making short posts outside of The Spam Zone, so the limit was re-enabled, but to 20 this time.

Would it be possible to reduce it back to the limit of 10 we had back on vBulletin?

I don't see why it matters, there are ways to get around the limit, and not once have I posted outside on the Spam Zone and used less than 20 characters.

 

I'm gonna have to agree with below on this one. It's not necessarily a big deal. I really don't see the need to post less than twenty characters outside of the spamzone/playground. And also, like below said there are workarounds.

This is about twenty characters. <--Don't see posts needing to be any shorter. It would only encourage more spamming.

 

I don't see what the big deal is :/ 20 characters isn't that much.

 

Whenever I post outside of spam zone I always go above 20 characters. It's not that much. And with spam zone there's only a few times I go under 20 even then xD Honestly, I like the way it is now.

 

It's not that big of a deal. To get around the character limit, just add a color tag or some other [thing][/thing]. It fills the character limit. Or, you can do "Postcontent*spacespacespacespace*" The spaces compress, it ends up looking like "postcontent ."

 

Mostly this. Its unnecessary, although for someone with a more to a point mind like mind it would be nice, but its too easy to get around for any change to be wanted, or at least for me.
