Kingdom Hearts II Censors in the US version

As most fans know the US version of KHII was censored at certain parts. in particular Port Royal. Would you agree with Square for releasing a censored version of the final mix?

I don't think i will, since they just get it uncensored both original and Final Mix, wicht actually makes me a little mad.
I really want it uncensored.

They had Will turner not point a gun at himself and have the guns turn into crossbows, also Xigbar had a sniper and Axel burned himself in his kamikaze attack.

 

Wow. My grandma talked about them censoring stuff....it really is TRUE!!!!

 

Wait, Axel burned? Cool. Xigbar must have a sniper! It only looks right.

 

I really don't mind about the censorship I think KH would be a little awkward with more violence especially with the Disney characters it in, and along with that, I don't really think Disney would want their characters in a violent game.

 

That's it? I was hoping for some prime language on someone's part, but oh well. on another note I too think it a little rash to bring up censors in a NA version of Final Mix+ when very little has been mentioned about such a thing.

 

Me too. I didn't expect them just to censor Axel getting burned and Xigbar having a sniper. I thought there would be some blood or some kind of inapproapriate words in there. Not something so simple like that.

 

Personally, I really don't care cuz it doesn't change much and the game is already great the way it is.

 

Yeah, I was expecting more too...but i guess, KHII being a game that is designed for all ages ( and I really mean all, I´ve seen 5 year old kids playing it) and having Disney personages, those scenes may be considered a bit shocking for the younger players..

 

I'm disapointed that they censored the original KHII cos it was rated 12+ where I live and that is a suitable age for most of the things censored out (Except Will almost commiting suicide that is never a thing you want to show young people as it is a bad influence) and I still have hope cos there are rumors going asbout and they where started in a magazine so that changes things about it not being ported to america and Europe(Where I live) cos it isn't just fans rambling on. I think Xigbar swears in the original KHII released in japan I mean the script is always changed when it is dubbed and there are parts in the europe version of the game where the characters move their lips and no noise comes out(They're hiding what they really said).

 

As much as I love him, I would love to see Axel get burned...That'd be awesome.

Well, I do think if they were to censor anything I think it should be like blood and violence and swearing and stuff like that...I know for a fact in CoM Axel says after releasing Namine, "This is going to be one hell of a show"...They didn't censor that. Then again, it's not really all that bad.

 

I don't care really for the censorship but I'd be happy to purchase that does have censors. As for Axel saying that, I was shocked when I was playing CoM now I just laugh about it.

 

geez, i want an uncensored version so badly. I mean, if they don't want Will threatening to shoot him self, then they shouldn't have put it in the actual movie!!

 

eh? the makers of the game and the makers of the movie were different people, they couldn't exactly ask them to censor that bit in the film just for the game

 

I dont care one bit I would never even notice axel getting burned.
