Update 20/8/2007 : added 2 censored things in the japenese version Anyway....The GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 went through slight modifications in each regional release since the initial one. The North American version was the first and the original to be released, followed shortly by the Japanese version. These two versions are reportedly identical in most aspects (excluding localization), with the only difference being that animation involving decapitation was censored and removed from the Japanese version. This was presumably due to the fact that Resident Evil 4 was the first game in the series (not including re-releases and ports) to be rated by the Computer Entertainment Rating Organization, which objected to the game's depictions of decapitations,When Leon is killed by a chainsaw-wielding ganado, the chainsaw is pulled out before it severs his head. In Japan, the Assignment: Ada minigame is titled Ada the Spy. The PAL versions of the game went through several changes from the North American version. These changes include a new Easy mode and increased firepower in some guns.In addition, the listed firing speed for rifles has been changed to reflect their actual firing speed in the game more accurately, Remember IF you have the UK version and USA Version....which means its not censored ,the only censored version is the Germany version and Japanese version ...........now heres the list what the has been cutted out in those 2 versions: Japenese Version: When Leons Heads gets cutted by the Chainsaw (Right now when he's head gonna be sliced by a chainsaw , it wont cut his head) the worst thing ever is... "Headshots no longer kill, limbs can no longer be shot off ", I suppose Capcom is undertaking some kind of social responsibility, trying to keep kids from understanding that shooting someone in the head kills them, though really, am I the only person who finds it kind of ridiculous? And....... it contains less gore (ONLY IN THE JAPENESE VERSION!) Germany Version: When Leons Heads gets cutted by the Chainsaw (Same as the japenese version) and..... The Minigames (it was removed from the German version while shipping with a German booklet, since it doesnt say about the minigame :/ ) and YES This happens also to the Wii,PS2,GameCube .....(I'm not sure about the PC :/ ) Oh Well thats all i have for now. and If you're german.......sucks to have this game :/ Come back theres also lots of stuff that were censored!
I can see why it was censored, it is pretty horrifying, especially if you're squeamish. It didn't really bother me, though.

You'r right kitty , the game wont be scary if leon's head wasnt been chopped off (when i first time saw leons head chopped off , i was like "HOLY ****!")
