Kingdom Hearts II cavern of remembrance

anyone remember what you have to do to get the engine chamber to work? to be more specific I go to the engine chamber find the door my path is blocked by pipes so I have to take a passage to the right to get around it but when Itry to land on the ledge its like some invisible wall is blocking me

 

I'm not sure where exactly you are at in the engine room, but if you start from the door I can tell you how I got through.

First you run across that open room with all the conveyor belts then head up the small hallway right across from you. There should be a few ledges on the right that move in and out of the wall. When they are lined up correctly you can use them as stairs. Jump up the 'stairs' and you should see a massive conveyor belt moving next to you. Get on it and ride it past the three or so steam jets until you get to the edge of the ledge you are standing on. Once you get there, you can move over to the left (try to keep jumping or gliding so that you don't fall off) then head on up the conveyor belt on the other side. Once you get to the end, jump up through the last pair of steam pipes and you will be safe on a pipe covered in a metal grating. From here you can jump over to the right to get up onto another ledge. Once you get on, turn your camera to the right and you should see another ledge a bit of a ways away. You need glide to get over. Then, there should be a really small conveyor belt with a ledge popping in and out of the wall. If you have a strong enough glide you can just jump and fly over it to get to the ledge beyond. If not, you have to do some tricky jumping. But you should be able to get to the door on the other side.

You might be able to get through this room without glide (I've never tried without it) so if you don't have it that might be your problem. Just know that the next room you kinda need glide to get past, so even if you do sneak by the engine room without it you can't really go much farther.

 

no I mean I get to the door to get out of the engine room but when I go there I glide to the ledge but its like something invisible is blocking me so I can't land on it

 

I could have sworn there was a switch or something in that room...try looking around the whole area. Perhaps you overlooked something.

 

isnt there a switch that you have to glide up to, and then attack the engines?
