This is rather strange, but it recently popped up in my mind: Are nobodies able to reproduce? If they did so with a non-nobody, would the child just have half a heart?

    I think everyone's born with a heart.
    A heart isn't DNA.

But I have no idea if they can or not.
For some reason, I doubt it.

Like above, I highly doubt it. But I assume it would be possible. Plus I don't think someone would get half a heart, more like a 50/50 chance of no heart or a heart. Plus that'd throw Kingdom Hearts off track "We're half a heart short. Someone have babies please.".

I think I read from someone's sig that there's a chance a nobody's kid could be a somebody or something.

yes they can reproduce just because they lose there heart does not mean they can't... you know but i think the kid will not have a heart cause the parents didn't have a heart

now i just thought of an annoy one what if the female was going to have a baby but turn into a nobody what then my brain hurts

I assume it would be possible, but only for teh members of the Organization. The other species don't... er... seem to be able to. What with the attacking on sight and such. (and maybe the fact that they don't actually exist)

    ^ This made me lol.

Well, naturally the first barrier to reproduction is whether or not Nobodies retain the ability to produce offspring. For now we can safely assume they do, since the only observed effect of a person losing their heart and becoming a Nobody is that they lose their capacity for emotional expression.

As for the nature of the child: By Ansem's logic, Nobodies don't exist or even have the right to exist. Basically, anything they do is null space; it shouldn't have happened, it doesn't really affect anything, and it doesn't matter. If Nobodies reproduced, they would produce more Nobodies. There wouldn't need to be an equivalent "somebody" because that Nobody should never have existed anyway. It's all null space.

Now, that would be the logic of Ansem the Wise. The way I see it? Nobodies, specifically the Organization, have the emotional faculties they associate with the heart, but they don't understand that they do or how they work, so their ability to express it is limited unless they communicate with other Nobodies. Presumably, any child of an Org. member would have these same faculties.

Perhaps there is some correlation here with will; the weak-willed Nobodies appear to be mindless drones, but perhaps they're just slaves to emotion, unable to choose which ones to express and how. By the same token, the Organization members would retain the emotional "blueprints," if you will, of their "somebody" selves, and would even be able to develop beyond that. A child of a Nobody would reflect this; they could be raised to be strong-willed and influence/develop their own emotions. And all of this while lacking this quality of "heart" that Ansem so treasures.

Of course, my theory assumes that the ability to express emotion is not as dependent on the heart as it appears to be in Nomura's world, but instead has more connection to psychological science, which basically holds that emotion is a stylized reaction to environmental stimuli... unless someone would care to correct me. I'm probably misrepresenting it somehow.

Maybe thats how dusks are produced.... LOL.
But on a serious note, they probably can but they choose not to because they have nothing to gain from it. This is because they can't feel any emotional bonding (probably besides those who have close relations with Roxas/Namine) And the female will see bearing a child as a hindrance.

    Ahaha..good question you have...
I think they coulldn't reproduce, coz they don't have a heart, so how do they even think of reproducing?
Well..I don't know the real answer either...
    haha ^^;

Well, er.. this is a weird thread.

Honestly, asking questions like this can get no true answers, only speculation. I doubt Nomura will be announcing whether Nobodies can produce offspring any time soon. xD

On a side note, I doubt it.

Why would they need to since that isn't how they're created? They're just remains of the heart leaving the body. That human appearance of the Organization is just an outer shell. It shouldn't fully function like someone who's whole, since the appearance could be changed (like when Xemnas threatened to turn Axel into a Dusk).

    You got to remember that...
    1. Alot of people, especially Demyx wont be able to handle Larxene xD
    2. Xion's like- 14/15 so if anyone has her it's got to be Roxas (Disney does not want to promote pedophelia I'm pretty sure.

So that leaves a massive group of guys...
But let's not forget that Xenmas is an anagram for Mansex.
You can imagine what else happens x]

Perhaps outwardly. But if a Nobody is separate from its original "somebody," all of their ages would be in the single digits. It probably doesn't mean anything to most of them, unless they retain that distinction from their past selves. In fact, it's questionable if they would make the male/female distinction from anything but imprinted memory, too.

Yeah, I know. I'm fueling the AkuRoku fire. It's not like either of them cared about anyone else.
    ...Well, that they remember, anyway.
