Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I thout we could talk about this game because its one of the best games out right now. The story is awsome, the gameplay is awsome, and the graphics... Just f****ing awsome all around! Who else cashed in on all this awsome?

 

The online multiplayer is the worst out of the entire series. They let too many cooks into the kitchen by having that suggestion box for its development. It's also had the worst online support I've ever seen in a COD game. It puts the brokenness of WaW to shame. The story is pretty awesome though. Spec ops was only okay though. Nazi Zombies wins in the COD co-op department in my opinion.

 

The online is so addicting, yet so very frustrating because it's a good game that got ruined by a few things:

1. I don't think Infinity Ward was thinking when they made the One Man Army perk. I mean really, infinite noobtubes and semtex? It's just horrible.

2. Marathon/Lightweight/Commando. First of all, no one can run that fast... it's Call of Duty, not Mirror's Edge. Second of all, you can run through just about any equipment in the game and not die. It's silly, especially on maps like Skidrow.

3. Spawn points. Bad. Fix them. I can't count how many times in a game I'll spawn in front of the guy that just killed me, the game almost demands tactical insertions to be used.

4. Servers in general are horrible. The host migration fails almost every time, and even when it does work, it still lags and goes right back into another host migration until it finally just kicks you out of the game.


I could go into the imbalance of weapons and air support, but I think I've made my point. Javelin glitches, care-package glitches, environment glitches, they never seem to end in this game, no matter how many patches that Infinity Ward applies. Frankly the only reason I'm still playing this game is because I can play Search & Destroy, where there seems to be a lot less noobish players.

@White_Rook: Agreed on co-op, even to this day I find Nazi Zombies to be a blast to play with a group of friends.

 

What system are you guys playing on? Im playing it on PS3 and I don't have that many problems. Then again, I don't really play this game online. There may be hackers.

It was funny the first time.

The only weapon I can't stand in this game is the RPG. WTF? It never goes where you want it.

 

It's pretty good, but as most others said, the online gameplay is it's MAJOR downfall.

 

Personally, the titles, emblems, customization, and story mode play really made it up for everything on my end.

Sure it's got some bugs to iron out, but that makes a great game, when the bugs are still there!

 

The things I hate about Modern Warfare 2 online:

1) the amount of people that complain every freakin time they die.

2) Hackers!

3) The little kids that play, their voices get soooooo annoying!

thats about it.

 

Now, can you really hold two 45 caliber submachine guns? Hahahahaha, not unless your a total badass. The glitches suck, the online community is pretty bitter, the kids that play the game. The list would hardly end.

Oh, probably the most horrible aspect of the game ever would be the horrible bullet-to-player registration. You can shoot your gun like five feet to their left and still hit them in some cases.

Best part of the game, the constant challenge to gain titles and emblems, and p90 akimbo in Rust and Scrapyard lol.

 

Everyone complaining about the online community should either play on the ps3/pc if you don't want to hear kids or deal with it.

It's an arcade shooter so you shouldn't be getting so mad. Just have fun with it and don't take it seriously and you'll have a blast. Also being OCD about collecting things like me helps too when there are so many damn things to get.

 

Point: I hear less kids play this game on PSN.

 

It's just that less people have mics, so there may or may not be more kids playing on the ps3. Either way this game is tons of fun if played in short bursts and playing with friends makes for good times as well.

 

Did anyone collect all of the intel? If you did, what do you get for it other than the two trophies? I've gotten about 35 so far.

 

I love how kids curse me out on mw2 xbox live, its so funny how kids that sound like 6 year olds play a rated M game and are allowed to curse.

And lol they should really fix the match locking cause me and my friends were just powering up in a locked match.

 

Thats why you should switch over to the PS3 or the PC version.

 

Little kids or rude people aren't much of a problem... Xbox makes it quite easy to mute someone, lol.

 

Yea got them all there are also walkthroughs on locations online.

OMA ProPipes annoying true, IW needs to nerf OMA all together cause very few people use it to its potential. Commando needs to be toned down ALOT, cause the distance you fly when using it with a tacknife is ******ed.

And since the stimulus package came out and 1v1 was taken out all I see is boosters in FFA which sucks because that was my favorite game type and they ruined it, so that needs to go to.

To behonest I would have paid 15 dollars for them to fix the game then to see new maps.

And whoever said MW2 online is the worst so far, take a look back on COD3 and WaW. Treyarch has had no luck with online, which makes BlackOps a mixed blessing.
