Saw the IGN video on youtube last week about this. I'm not huge on the Infinity Ward COD games, but honestly, its Call of Duty; Its going to sell like nobody's business. That being said, the new movement features look like they should benefit the hardcore and experienced players, but newcomers might just resort to swearing at their TV screens. Couldn't you lean around corners in at least one of the older call of duty games though? Maybe not. All in all, its another Call of Duty, what more do you expect?
Really, when it comes to call of duty, I just cant enjoy myself like I used to with Modern Warfare 2. I also have come to not really enjoy Infinity Ward as much. You also cant really play these games because of the aweful community that plays until the next game is released. It is nice to see the end of this Modern Warfare title over use though. It will still most likely be the same game though.
Ghost was a fairly popular character, so a centre around a Ghost type character or team sounds about right. I would like to say 'ohhhh, they might change the format enough to make CoD more interesting and fresh again.' but after Black Ops and Black Ops II promising both but delivering in neither, i'm not gonna hold my breath. Just some gameplay updates, wonder if they graphics might actually not look 6 years old.
Eh I'm holding my breath until I see better specs on the game. As some of you know, I play CoD and I do enjoy it but I'm not a die hard fan. People can be annoying etc. I'm not a fan of the Infinity Ward's side of CoD, mostly because of visual layout and the fact they don't have zombies. but that's just me. We'll see how this turns out to be...
I can't wait ^^ I love the Modern Warfare series. I'm heartbroken because my evil little brother scratched my copy of MW3 and then returned it to me -_- I'm sad to hear that Spec Ops isn't making a comeback, I really liked it in MW3. Hopefully it's not another "Zombies" mode. I've seen enough with Black Ops, I did like zombies in BO2 though. Hopefully we'll get to see a great storyline, and an even better multiplayer ^^ And maybe I won't lose every match on this game.
I'll be honest, I'm very skeptical when Call of Duty tries to introduce a "new" thing in a game. For example, BO2 said they were gonna have zombies campaign, but it was actually transit mode. I don't know whether I was not informed of this or if it was just some random rumor all over the internet, but it led me to being highly suspicious of any "new" content they try to introduce. Anyways, I'm actually pretty curious about Call of Duty: Ghosts. I was a HUGE fan of MW2, story and multiplier. Again, kinda skeptical about the "destructible environments" whether it will be as simple as shooting down just a wall or collapsing huge buildings. I'd like to see changes, but not too many where then it won't feel like a "Call of Duty" game.
I wish we could see how many people are pre ordering at any given time. This is just a teaser, no gameplay, no facts about the game itself, and yet we already know it's going to sell in astronomically high volumes. It's just kind of amazing when you take a step back and look at the mammoth that is Call of Duty.
It honestly sounds like it would be a good game, but its still going to have a slight relatability to modern warfare series of CoD, and i really never enjoyed it, hopefully there is going to be a black ops 3, and when it comes out, it should be better than this game, i know most people would eat my heart out reading this, but i hate the modern warfare's EXCEPT for the 1st one, which was inexplicity also used under the name of CoD 4.
Nice subtle mechanics and general feel of combat. My only wish is that they made the sounds of the existing weapons realistic but that's just me. Thanks nick.
Looks like Call of Duty. And I say that as a bad thing. Just another repeat or a game with different weapons and different skins. Its like the Madden games, they try for some new creativity but thats all you get, some, not enough for a big jaw dropper.
I remember back in the days when I was SOO excited for the next CoD game. MW2 trailer made me so excited. It's a shame what they do now. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the ideas they put in the trailer like the breakable cover stuff, better customization, and more game modes, but in the end, it's still Call of Duty.
That's the point. I mean, the series of games aren't meant to be some revolutionizing story games with explosive amounts of mindblowing role play. Whereas I do agree that it gets repetitive, it's still something that can't be denied as the success for the series. It's obvious they are trying some new mechanics, and for that I can accept their "same game in a different package." Not everyone will agree but then again, it's all up to if you like it or not. That's basically what I was wanting to point out lol.
