Kingdom Hearts II Call me stupid if you want, but not everyone realized this about the epilouge!

Anyone can call me stupid for just realizing this,
but I now realize what the Letter Leon gets at the end of
KH II means:

The pink butterfly wings represent Leon's love-interest from
his home-game: FF VIII.

No, not Seifer, not Edea, not Quists(Sp?) either,....
It's Rinoa!

There are many saying "Duh!" while now reading this top post,
but I played KH I & II as a kid who only knew about FF games through
other people watching them,
or being allowed to play every now again.
And that was just VI and X.
I saw a little bit of VIII, but veerrrry little.

Heck, I didn't even know that Leon wasn't Squall's real favorable name until
I did some studying on the finalfanstasy wikia!

So for those who didn't know either,
now you know!

I feel...slightly better about my recent discovery being recent....>.>...<.<....<.>

Leon gets a letter in the KH II epilouge.
He's leaning up against a wall in Merlin the wizards house,
and a pink CG-looking Butterfly flutters out of the page Leon is holding.

Leon is apparently gazing as it floats up
with a great matter of interest,
so you know it means something that's close to him.

 

When did he get a letter I don't remember that

1905, 1915, 1925, 1935, 1945, 1955, 1965, and 1975 are old.
2005 is not old.
It happened just three years ago,
and video game deveolpment has only changed slightly since.
Unless you count HD....xD

2001 is a little older(When KH I debeuted in U.S),
but that's only because time flies when you're playing KH...or something like that...

 

...why would it be anybody but Rinoa? 0_o

And yeah, I was pleased to see a reference to his own game. Sadly, Final Fantasy VIII doesn't get nearly as much attention as the year older Final Fantasy VII, so I doubt it'll get any further then that in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts games, though I hope it does.

Also, the butterfly wings kinda resemble the angel wings Rinoa is kind of symbolized by in Final Fantasy VIII...

 

I didn't even know who Rinoa was until a few weeks ago,
and then just realized her signature signs, such as the one in Leon's letter,
until moments before making this thread.

And hayabusa, did you know that you have the same name as
Shan-Yu's Falcon? (Mulan, for those who don't know)

Well, Selphie was obviously not the one, cause...ya know, she's like 15 in the games.

It woulda helped if you knew a little more bout a game released in 1999...but of course, nobody but the old-school fans (such as I ^_^) would really care for VIII if it wasn't referenced in Kingdom Hearts T_T

You know what I find weird though? Cloud is not here...yet Aerith, still alive, looks up into the sky...

with either Yuffie or Aeirth....xD

I thought more of Yuffie over Aeirth, because look at how
Leon and her share a hotel room in KH....Ok,
so maybe they don't, who knows?
But it still looks like they did.

But you know who else is bound to appear in another Sequel game?:
Lulu, of FF X.

Why?

Yuna, Rikku, and Paine are the three gullwings,
Tidus and Wakka were the first major FF
characters mostly anybody saw,
and Lulu is Wakka's lover.

Since Wakka was 15 about in the first game,
he and Lulu would have to be somewhere around 16 or seveteen by
the next game.

And just imagine what happens when Tidus meets Yuna!
EE GAD! The confusion on how the relationship would work out!!
'Cause she is...about the size of Cloud's hair straight up.
No...wait...then she'd be a giant.......(XD)

She's basically about the same size as tinkerbell,
but slighlty taller.
So she'd be the same size as a normal teen's face.

 

You're not stupid, I didn't know anything either. I knew that Tidus and Wakka were from FFX, but I thought the letter to Leon was from Aerith 0.o (Yes, I knew they were in different games). That confused me. But now I understand =). Thanks for posting your discoveries.
