Nice. It got a lot harder in KHII, the whole grid messed me up when I started.
I just put a cockpit, 8 blocks, and as many engines and weapons as I could find. X3

a gummi ship could look horrible, but as long as it functioned well it didn't really matter.

I don't really bother editing my Gummi Ship. If I was bored, I would, but then it would turn out something really ugly.

I am.... well, to put it bluntly, all my friends who play the game tell me that I am a god at making KH1 gummi ships. I made, I think, 8 different models, all really powerful, and paired them up to transform into one another. I usually used just a white color scheme (Star Trek influences, FTW), but I think that just made them cooler. Whenever my friends start new games, they ask me to build them ships. If I know how to upload pictures of them (and had the game with me here at college), I would.

I only improved gummi ship plans by adding things like more engines and weapons.. My favourites were Cactuar and Chocobo
I like being a flying cactus for some reason... X]

Lucky! Mine looked something like a humped multicolor piece of playdo. O.O
I couldn't even build it in the second one. -_-' All the different blocks confused me....

My gummi ship is... interesting. xD See, first I went and sold off all of my protect-G blocks, not knowing that it also sells the ones on your gummi ship. And that the default gummi ship is made of almost entirely protect-Gs. So, yeah. I fixed it up, using the best defense blocks; I don't remember what they're called. So, really, my gummi ship looks like something that should be held together by duct tape, except there's no duct tape. Either way, it's better than the original. xD I'm not good enough at making ships to make them look cool. It doesn't matter to me as long as they're functional.

Phew I'm eased that I am not the only one who can't really build a Gumi-Ship

When I first started playing KH, I seriously sucked at the gummi ship. I couldn't figure out how to build it, and when I did, I couldn't figure how to get back. But I got better, and now my gummi in KH2 is, may I say, KICK ASS!!!! It's got spikes, 10 weapons, and 6 engines.

Kinda the same (see above comment), but I got better at it pretty fast. I think it might be because of the decade+ I spent playing with Legos. I still have them, and every time I go home, I take them out (all 50,000+), dust em out, and go nuts. But I digress. Forgive me.

It took me about 6 months to figure out how to make a gummi-ship, and the other day to make one, in both games, that's, in both looks and functionality, better than the most powerful ship in that game!
