Building a computer

I need some quick help. I've built computers from scratch before but only with parts I was given. I've never actually gone out and bought the specific parts I wanted and put them together. Now that I have some money I intend to do that and did a list of the things I needed and which ones I wanted. Now after comparing them all I'm pretty sure they should all work together but I'd like some reassurance from somebody who's knowledgeable in this area to confirm it or to help out.
