Long time no see, video section! This is my first amv in well over a year, and may I just say I can strangle my WMM now...I would've used vegas but my trial expired, AND I could've used imovie, but hell...thats a lot worse. So that left me with WMM, the thing that crashes every freakin 5 minutes!!! :@ Anyways, this is a story about Xion, because I'm really liking Days at the moment, so yeah, Enjoy!!! The song is Broken Wings by Flyleaf
XD or maybe I forgot to post the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZrXsWpjwLI Lol I'm so smart...
The video's not too bad; seeing as how it was made in WMM. The concept was good but your execution was a little off if you know what I mean. Some of the heavier parts of the song just didn't really seem to fit well with the scenes that you put in. Maybe it's because WMM doesn't really allow for good fast editing and also because Days doesn't have that many scenes to work with. But that's something you should work on future videos. The video should complement in the song; it doesn't only have to be lyrical sync. If a song starts off slow, then the video should complement it and when it starts to pick up and go faster, then the video should as well. There are exceptions of course but those are for you to find out yourself.
Wow, I really liked that, the song gave it such an emotional feel to it and it fit really well considering the circumstances. The videos fit in well with the song, they weren't too long to bore me and they flowed well with the music. Good use of grayscale as an emotive effect, overall it was very good considering it was made in WMM. My only main point of improvement is at the end when the music speeds up and you put the flashes in, they didn't fit properly- if they had then it would have been very effective. Well done, keep it up.
most of the stuff you're talking about I owe to WMM, especially about the fast scenes, that's why it looked a little off. Not to sound all whiney and such but there was a lot of stuff I wanted to put in that I couldn't because WMM wouldn't let me... thankyou =) and again, those flashes were very trial and error, I didn't really know how they would turn out, thanks for the advice!
