How is yours? Mine is bad, my mother noticed when I rode horseback and pointed it out. Now I am trying to correct it, but it requires so much effort, the supposedly "natural" feels unnatural; the "correct" feels incorrect. I naturally slump, the spine is wont to slump... like a grandma, I'll be. I lack energy too, the forum's resident granny here.

I would have posted this in Discussions, but I find that I prefer the spam zone. Straight to the trash bin, they go: not worthy of serious consideration, these half-thought thoughts are not.

So I'm going to sound really weird but I don't care.

Mine is actually good. I like sitting up straight, like knowing I have a good posture. I usually sit up straight when doing work though, I don't feel productive when I don't.

However, I do like slumping a bit.
There are two reasons. One, when I slouch I look flat chested. That I really enjoy. But I'm not going to explain further cause I find it weird talking about woman chests lulz.
The second is that I like how when I slouch, my spine, ribs and shoulder blades are more defined. Yheap.

    No spammy-zone cray here.

  3. I have a bad posture because of spinal damage when i was small, so i know what your feelin, only you can correct it where as i would have to use a posture bar to do so

I tend to slouch a lot when I am sitting down at my computer or in class. Though I exercise a lot and do yoga with my friends at times so it helps me maintain a somewhat good posture. So exercising can be very helpful. If you are sitting down in the slumped position for a while, get up and stretch every once in a while. Also, make sure to evenly distribute your weight on your feet. It may feel strange at first, but it helps with posture :)

    Hope this helps! ^^

Standing and sitting at the food table, it's excellent. The years of drilling in choir and theater classes have ingrained good posture into me.

However, when I'm sitting for longer periods with little to no physical activity (like being in class, on the bus/train, or now on the computer) I tend to slouch quite a bit. I've got mild scoliosis, so a part of my spine kinda protrudes whenever I sit 'normally', so I either have to lean forward a lot (sometimes basically lying on the surface in front of me) or slipping so far down on the chair that my shoulder blades are the lowest part of my back actually touching the back of the chair. I also cannot be comfortable unless the back of the chair is sturdy.

I used to slouch, but I had it taken care of. A lifetime of forcedmartial arts training makes you wary of your posture after a while. It can be maddening at times, like when I'm riding a bike and I start fidgeting with my shoulders.

Paranoid about my posture when it matters, sloppy during leisure time. Although every now and then I realize how stupid I must look (and how uncomfortable I am, doip) and fix myself.

I fidget a lot. So I'm rarely in the same position for more then 15 mins, unless of course in sleeping mode. Actually any laying motion on a comfortable surface I can do for ages.
I slouch when playing games, but even when sitting I'm generally moving my torso to reach for things, or if I'm on the PC then I have to move wires and shiz.

But in general when I'm somewhere official or need to be proper, I adjust my posture according to the situation. Even in casual when I remember I lean back ingot he chair, better if their is a pillow or something though, I get more comfort.

    On the loo, I slouch!

Haha, my posture is horrible due to a back injury I have. However, instead of forcing my shoulder blades backwards to get "better posture", my physiotherapist said it's better to pretend that you're going to tip-toe, however don't lift your feet off the floor. That way you walk more upright, and you don't have to feel super awkward forcing your shoulder blades back. Haha, random tip of the day ~

Pretty straight now, but I slouched like a mother when I was little. Mom would always yell at me for it :<

I do slouch still, but mainly for when I'm focusing on something in front of me, or resting my head.

    Not saying anything.

I must always, absolutely sit straight. It's already bad enough that I have a sort of . . . heavy chest, not to mention eight long years of having violin hammered into me, sitting straight is a must.

When standing I've been told I have excellent posture, sitting not so much--especially in class, I tend to slouch. At my computer I don't think I'm too bad, and when in certain situations--like talking to a school administrator or teacher, I tend to sit up straight.

I walk and sit up straight. I used to have terrible posture, but I've gained tons of confidence in myself so now you can see it through my posture. And I'm sorry I find when intensive slouching to be really unattractive. It's like you're folding into yourself. I didn't like how I felt when I was slouching. I mean sitting in class or sleeping is one thing, but people pick up on how you portray yourself, and posture is something that is taken into account. It's not like I care what other people think of me, but still I don't want to portray myself like how I used to.

Wow I'm the total opposite. As in, I sit up to make my chest look bigger LOL.

...what about the rest of you girls? How are your chests?

Anyway, I usually slouch when I'm sitting down. Like right now, my ass probably on the edge of the seat while my shoulder blades are against the chair's back. If I have something to place my feet on, I do. When I walk, it's a different story. I try to stand tall (to make myself look taller). Also, if I'm dressed up (which, I'm like always dressed up) in a nice shirt and tie, it boosts my confidence and I stand straight as can be.

Well, Posture isn't all that bad. Class I slouch slightly, but I am tall and do it for my papers XD Walking down the hallway I slouch slightly in an attempt to look a bit like L from Death Note lol XD. Sitting on computer is actually pretty good so long as I don't get bored. I have a decent attention span, so not all that much of a problem. When in public I don't slouch but I don't exactly stand at attention either lol. However I am a tall person and proud. Roughly 6ft 5in. Get me around other tall people and I will have amazing posture XD That, or have me in an uncomfortable position for long periods and I will have tremendous posture. When I tried out for football and had to wear the pads, my dad would actually have to tell me to relax a bit XD

Over all, I am pretty decent, just don't bore me XD

I have nice posture, actually. I pretty much hate slouching, it looks bad. So I do my best not to mess up my posture.

mine's fairly decent actually. I do slump sometimes without knowing, but at the same time, I'll end up straightening my back out without knowing. It's not the greatest, but it's still fairly good when I do stand normally

When I'm singing or at a dinner table/restaurant, the best posture ever.

When I'm alone on my laptop, terrible posture. Mostly because my chair and desk aren't meant to go together and my desk is so much higher than my chair and sometimes I have to pile pillows under me for it to work out, lolol.
