No Thanks Board for posting your RPing characters

Ok I saw this on another site and I was thinking in the Role Playing area each person could make only one thread and post all of their RP characters in it with a template like this:

Name:

Age:

Weapons:

Home world:

History:

Powers:

Appearance:

Other:


This is up to the staff please think about it.

Do that many people actually use the same OC? I always make different ones, sometimes the names are similar.
Besides, what's the point?
Comparing characters?

 

I tend to keep the same character name sometimes, but compltely change everything else. That wouldn't help me a lot.

 

I just don't really think it's needed, hun. A lot of role-players tend to have different characters for different RPs and maybe the same name as stated above. Perhaps if we were more of a RP-based forum, it would be more useful, just not here.

You could save all of your OCs on a word document or maybe on your Usernotes if you find it useful. <:​

 

The idea you are commenting on works best if there are basically role-playing games that are segregated to sub-forums for each one. With the tons of rps we have going on here, that just isn't possible and a sub-forum to place characters in would be rather pointless here. Most of the roleplaying threads have the characters listed anyway and some even have brief descriptions or bios on the characters within the thread. This idea most likely just wouldn't work here with all this in mind.

 

Actually, it's not as worthless as it sounds. I've been to a forum with this. But it isn't a list. Each OC has their own thread in which other critize. They look for Originally...Err, Etc. But it isn't as bad.

Although a whole Sub-forum for ONE character is pointless.

 

Closing this as for now the idea is being turned down.
