I wonder if the joke's gone too far, or whether it'll be even funnier thanks to this.

I have heard of this grill place......... I feel that the spokesman dieing of anything other than a heart attack would probably be an AID to it rather than hinder it's profits...... which in my opinion is acctually a bad thing

I've never heard of that place, but hearing about it now makes me utterly sad for this country. Hopefully people can learn from this.

    Oh, and he deserved it.

I've heard about the Heart Attack Grill a few times from the Food Network. The burgers looked pretty good, but when they showed the vat of lard used to cook them, that turned me off. Can't even remember the calorie count for the different bypasses (but no doubt a few days worth of calories each).

I hate that America has such a problem with overweightness/obesity and yet places like this pretty much encourage it. Fast food might be convenient, but that doesn't make it a good choice overall. Garbage in, garbage out people!

I've heard that some of their burgers are over 8000 Cal.

It would have been preferable if he had of died of a heart attack, maybe that would have spurred people into acting against establishments like this. It probably sounds horrible of me to say, but I wish he had died in a way that could be explicitly related to his weight.

    Correct.

I'll bet that he did die of a heart attack and the flu thing is a big cover up.

I was thinking the same thing myself.

"Oh noes, this man suffered a full on cardiac arrest thanks to our stuff, but hurr hurr it was really the flu, no one will know for sure and they'll still cram our burgers into their mouths."

I'll tell the truth, seeing his weight and his age was enough to give me a scare, long before I read the bit about the pneumonia. Hopefully others will look and say "575 pounds? Not gonna get my weight that high."

It's a free world, people are told of of the risks. If they feel like taking the risks then so be it. I have no sympathy for the man. Nor anyone who dies because of poor health after having such a terrible diet. They knew the risks and they took them. There is no pity to be given. They deserved it.
