I really wanna play it but I don't have a PSP right now. I could beg my uncle for his since he doesn't use it, but is it worth it? Is birth by sleep as good as KH2? (No spoilers please :P)
It's a KH game, so as long as you don't know what happens, Im sure the experience will be memorable. I say go for it brah.
The plotline is dark, fair warning. Aside from that I did really like it, although it is very repetitive to play the three plotlines. As good as KH2? Maybe a bit shy, it is a "side game" on a lower power system. But very respectable, and very crucial to the future plot. I would go for it if only because you will be really confused without that part of the plot. Though you could always watch the scenes here if you decide not to play it.
I honestly liked Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep the most out of the entire series (haven't played Dream Drop Distance, won't til I have a 3DS). Opinions I have of it: -Best story of the series (quite dark, but done really well so it doesn't seem silly for a series adapted so younger audiences can enjoy too) -Best original characters of the series (by this I mean, characters not from previous Disney movies or Square games) -Best handling of time spent in each world (I do not want to spend more than an hour in Deep Jungle or Atlantica, thank you) -IT HAS MARK HAMILL AND LEONARD NIMOY HOLY SHIT BUY IT NOW Worth it, definitely.
Definitely worth it every time. I've wasted hours of my life playing on the command board alone and each story, although similar, was very interesting and the leveling isn't too bad and I like the fighting style. Also... dat ice cream game O.o
It's as good as KH2, but not as fun. It uses a heavily modified (and by that I mean simplified to hell) version of COM's battle system, so it retains the deck beased strategy from COM and the action based fun from KH1. That was the WORST part of 100% completion for me. I still can't get a Perfect on Destiny Island's theme song.
Wonderful story, cliché characters, and less replay value than previous games. Probably still worth it, if you're a big Kingdom Hearts fan.
