A recommendations thread huh. I shall have to check some of those out. =)

Now to turn this from Misty recommends to general recommendations, because I can. HAHA. I have quite a few also, so I think I'll stick to the lesser known ones.

    Deaf Havana

An Alternative/Post-Hardcore band from Kings Lynn, UK. They've recently gone through a major overhaul after one of their vocalists left. Instead of replacing him they decided to get rid of the screams completely. It's probably a smart move considering that the guys screaming voice was pretty unique. Despite the loss in their original dynamic they have recently shown with their new single 'Smiles All Round' it hasn't affected them one bit and are as good as ever.

    Recommended songs:

Nicotine and Alcohol Saved My Life
    Smilies All Round
    Friends Like These

    -----------------------

    Pulled Apart by Horses

An Indie/Grunge band from Leeds, UK. They are quite hard to categorise. They definitely have a very Indie feel but they are on the heavier more distorted side of things. It's hard to explain

    Recommended songs:

High Five, Swan Dive, Nose Dive
    Back to the F*ck Yeah

    ---------------------

    Me vs Hero

A Pop/Punk and Post-Hardcore band from Blackpool, UK. This style is often referred to the god awfully named 'Popcore' or 'Easycore. It's basically Pop/Punk with breakdowns. Think A Day to Remember and you have the right idea. Me vs Hero are more on the Pop/Punk side of things and are among the best in the genre.

    Recommended Songs:

    Days That Shape Our Lives
    My Warren Senses are Tingling
What Seems to be the Officer, Problem?

    ---------------------------

    Midgar

Another Alternative/Post-hardcore band here. This time from Guildford, UK. Quickly you can draw comparisons to Fightstar, musically they are very similar blending heavy guitars one minute and soft melodies the next. They've only really hit the scene over the past few months with only 2 EP's to their name. I'm looking forward to a full album.

    Recommended Songs:

    Karmic Retribution
Lead Your Children To The Sky, Feat Steve Sitkowski

    ------------------------

    Thoughts Paint The Sky

An Acoustic Screamo Band from Germany. It's the most bizarre combination I've see, but it works really well. I haven't had many chances to check them out more. They are definitely pretty unique

An Austrian group that labels themselves as 'technopop' which is best described as a cross between futurepop and progressive trance. I myself first started listening with I love 64 which sounds like an old video game. Then I started seeking out more finding myself hooked. i really can't get enough of them.

    Ra
A band I wish had more attention. I used to listen to this group way back when I was in Junior High when 'Do you Call my Name?' really started it. I have only just gotten back into them.
