    guess why

because cn moved it to a ridiculous time slot, put it on hiatus for months, and then wouldn't put it back on the air because it wasn't selling toys. cn strikes again

basically the same thing that happeNED TO THUNDERCATS (2011) THAT IM STILL FURIOUS ABOUT. THEY HAD THIS AMAZING SHOW AT THE PERFECT TIME SLOT AND MOVED IT TO LIKE 7 AM ON SUNDAY AND THEN CANCELLED IT AFTER ONE SEASON. IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND WAS CLEARLY CUT OFF BEFORE ITS TIME. THE FINALE WASNT EVEN ANYTHING IT WAS SO LAME IT NEEDED ANOTHER SEASON.

I liked Thundercats, I did not like Beware the Batman. The only Batman series I liked so far growing up was The Batman and Batman Beyond. And I'm not counting Justice League, since that technically wasn't just Batman

Doesn't affect me personally. I've never watched Batman.

You should really try Batman Beyond and The Batman. I know I say that partially because it's the only ones I've enjoyed, but they both have some really good animation and nice episodes. But then again, anyone could say that for any show they enjoyed XD

Because it's the hero Cartoon Network deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Sounds like what happened to TRON: Uprising and Young Justice and a few other shows really.

I mean, Uprising was shoved into a terrible time slot(Sunday night Midnight) and on a channel that not everyone gets(Disney XD). But then again, Disney would rather the entire TRON franchise didn't exist. And since there were 'more older females watching and they don't buy toys' seems to be the reasoning behind a lot of these amazing shows getting canned in favor of garbage "random humor" shows aimed at young boys.

If Disney had put out merchandise for Uprising, I would have gladly bought it. Heck, put out the leftover Legacy merch. I know it's sitting gathering dust somewhere. If you don't think I'd buy an action figure because I'm female, put out merch aimed at women if that's who is watching. There's nothing wrong with making accessories or t-shirts or umbrellas or whatever. But the point remains that no one can buy stuff that doesn't exist.

And while I'm at it think about this:

A cartoon show aimed at young girls is received mostly by guys in their late teens and early twenties and thrives. Toys, accessories, shirts, it's all there. However, other cartoons aimed at young boys is received mostly by women of roughly the same age range get cancelled with lame excuses like 'girls don't buy toys'.

Y'know, as much as I loved Young Justice, and as much as I wish it continued, I really can't be all that mad because it's not as if the show was canceled half-way through the first season like with BtB or, even at the end of the first season like Thundercats with many questions still open and things to be explored. It ended in a place that felt appropriate. They could have done a lot more with the show, but seeing as how season 1 and 2 are basically a part 1 and 2 of the same story, it feels complete. There's no reason it had to end, but there's no harm in ending when it did (aside from that fact that i want more dammit). And really (I can't believe I'm saying this) 2 seasons for an action show on CN isn't that bad.

Beware the Batman never got the chance to grow. It was cancelled right as it started to pick up steam so we never saw what could have been, and since we know that it had ideas given the last few episodes, it's a real shame that the show will be remembered as a complete flop to no fault of its own.[DOUBLEPOST=1394779319][/DOUBLEPOST]

I found Beware to be incredibly lame anyway, especially in comparison to Brave and the Bold so eh.

This thread only reminds me of what happened to Aaron Stone. Disney XD took it off because they didn't want such a "serious show" on their dumb jokes & sitcom lineup. And after two seasons, you know how it ended? THE BAD GUY GOT ULTIMATE POWER. Were we supposed to assume two years worth of sneaking around and fighting the bad guys was all in vain and that everyone just died? Like, what the hell? The show had a game in it, and if they'd at least tried to capitalize on it a bit more than just having costumes on their site and some bios, I would've gladly gotten a t-shirt or keychain or SOMETHING.
I hate where all these channels have gone, cancelling shows just because their target audience and their actual audience are two different groups. If MLP can capitalize on it, why can't the big budget networks? It's not like the HUB has been a competitor for years, but there's definitely something to be said for how they've responded to the bronies.

You know, when they say Tron wasn' t selling toys, I' m not sure they meant Tron toys, nor toys per say really.

I say this because of what happened to Fringe : it wasn' t drawing enough anouncers to their liking, but since it was a big critical success with a cult following they moved it to a lousy time slot instead of just canning it. Of course that time slot drew even less anouncers. The only reason the show got a final half season is that the fans pleaded for it big time and that there was some sort of financial interest for the network in letting it reach its hundredth episode.

Same goes for the bronies I suppose, it' s ****ing everywhere on the internet, you' d have to be blind not to notice.

I guess that' s the downside of series competition for you. Sure, they make more and more good series, but their actual goal is to draw anouncers, not viewers. Problem is anouncers don' t care about story or quality, unless you manage to reach the top and stay there they just move to the newest shiny thing.

Hmm, you mean the exact same thing that happened to Young Justice and Green Lantern, too? How about Sym-Bionic Titan? Eff off sometimes, CN...
