I've got to say its a very good game, the area very expansive, the game play good, and the killing animations very nice, but my only problems with it is the combat system, i think its a bit bad, its much more of a pain in the ass to kill whoever your in open conflict with, and i much rather enjoyed the old combat systems better, along with the usage of medicine instead of healing over time after a fight. I enjoyed all three games taking you through Ezio's life a bit better than the main character's in ACIII, but its still a good game in its own respective view.
It's been so long since I have played the other AC's that I honestly didn't feel much of a difference with the combat system. The use of medicine was a quick way to heal and I liked that, but I suppose healing in time isn't too bad. I haven't gotten very far yet due to college to really develop my feelz towards Connor yet, but I did really enjoy the mains in every AC so far, so I am expecting to like this character more as I continue to play. =) Really like the game so far though.
Should I even bother finishing II before playing this? My friend bought me III, and I haven't finished any Assassin's Creed game, nor have I played Brotherhood or Revelations.
Definitely finish II. It's a great game and worth finishing =) I haven't gotten far in III but I like it so far. However, I guess it's more opinion based. I liked revelations and brotherhood. They aren't the best of AC but I liked them.
