We all know Organization XIII's was to become human to have hearts but why? What's so good about being human again? Wouldn't they have lost their nobody powers? Or maybe Xemnas didn't care, and he wanted a heart to wield a keyblade and possibly find Ven. Just thought of this now, so any other suggestions?

From my own personal experiences from playing the game, I believe that they just wanted to be able to have feelings like Sora and everyone else; therefore, that's why they did what they did. You know, so they could know what it felt like to be happy, be sad, be mad, etc.

Think of it this way: You're at a friend's house, and he or she has something that you don't, but you like. What's your natural instinct going to be?

yeah, but i wonder if there was an ulterior motive... Zemnas is the Nobody of both Terra and MX, so my guess is it was the MX part that wanted a heart so he can wield the darkness. After all, a heart is the thing that controls whether you submit to the light or darkness. After all, Zemnas himself said that Nobodies were neither creatures of light or dark.

Actually, I never thought of it that way. Just to feel again. Sometimes I've learned it's better not to show some of those emotions. They usually got me in trouble lol.

Not being able to feel is the greatest pain of all, which is ironic, because longing is a feeling.
But it is correct, they want to be human because then they can feel, and some of the members don't feel their existence matters because they have no heart.

So was Sora a jerk for not letting them become humans again? I'm really confused right now, why did he even fought against them in the first place...?

The Organization was going about it in all the wrong ways. They had that whole Roxas/Xion thing going on first then they used Sora to go off killing Heartless when that didn't work. They were using other people's hearts to their own gain. They needed a lot of hearts. Where do you think hearts come from? Hence why Sora had to do what he did and stop the Organization.

that, and they become human after both the heartless and nobody is defeated, so they'll become whole again anyway. Not that Sora knew it at the time.

They crave for the feelings they once had. It is almost like they don't feel like they are truly alive until they have a heart. Though it is worth noting that they cannot be true again until their heartless are defeated. So far the only Nobody we know that has a chance at that is Xemnas. Though it could be possible the others can be returned to their normal selves.

I'm betting you anything Marluxia's heartless was the Grim Reaper. But anyways, I'm sure they'll coincedentally bring back some of the favorite characters because people want them back

I'm willing to bet Marluxia comes back as one of the more important characters for 2 reasons.
1: He was the main villain of CoM
    2. We don't know anything about his past except for Xigbar found him.

IMO his heartless is not the grim reaper. If that was his heartless then wouldn't it have hung around Xigbar instead?

I think this deserves a whole game unto itself, a game about Organization 13 members regaining their human selves, i would rather play this than Days.

Yeah, If the Organization used different methods Sora might have helped willingly but as we now know that was never the true goal for Xemnas.

The assertion that Org XIII members didn' t have a "heart" always seemed ludicrous to me. I think therefore I am, simple as that. As Noroz pointed out if longing for lost feelings isn' t a feeling I don' t know what is. All that exisistential turmoil can be felt by humans too, what makes us so different ? Coz I don' t see it.

DDD established that Xemnas knew it was bullshit all along, which I see as a metaphor for religious indoctrination. Oh my poor friend, I' m afraid you have a made up illness. You were born a sinner, you' re damaged, you' re wrong somehow. But worry not ! I conveniently happen to have a cure ! Just follow MY guidelines and I promise your "heart" will be born anew !

If it is the Grim Reaper, then Marluxia isn't coming back. The Heartless has to go first, then the Nobody.

Not to go all deep and analytical into Kingdom Hearts, but I think the Nobodies wanted to have hearts for one main reason.
    • Hearts give power.
Throughout Kingdom Hearts, every trio of friends uses their feelings and emotion to persist through obstacles. It's the most cheesey, but also, the most important element of the KH story. Looking at Sora, for example, a lot of his power comes from his heart. Honestly, Riku should have been the chosen keyblade wielder. He simply had more skill and fighting prowess than Sora; however, the keyblade chose Sora because of the completely pure heart obtained from Ventus. This is an example of how the KH writers really stress the importance of a heart. Now throughout a lot of the games, Sora is constantly looking for his friends. This emotion of persistence is what drives him to become strong. Essentially, his love for his friends is what makes him strong. He continuously searches and searches and searches for his friends while he is simultaneously fighting enemies chronologically ranked by strength. Love and friendship is what indirectly influences/motivates him to become strong. This idea of the heart having power is one of the most important themes to Kingdom Hearts.

Agreed with everything. Marluxia was my favorite villain out of all the Kingdom Hearts games. There's something about arrogant, stern, guys that makes the person seem so much more badass. Saix really doesn't cut it for me because he's basically Xemnas' puppy dog.

Actually the heart of Ven is no longer pure due to the Vanitas merge however I feel that if giving the blade of a keyblade master is an initiation then the thing that would one up that is getting the heart or hearts however you look at it of keyblade wielders.

Vanitas is completely destroyed by Ventus. That's why there's no more Unversed and the x-Blade shattered.

I wouldn't say he is completely destroyed. I mean I believe he merged with Ven's heart who then merged with Sora. I mean Sora was able to see his silhouette when speaking with Young Xehanort.
