Be on the lookout for the nasty porn spamming guy!

I know this guy's M.O., he's a sick pervert!

1. He registers under a suspicious screen name that has no apparent meaning whatsoever, and he disables the ability to see his e-mail address.

2. He picks really random places to post links to his nasty porn sites.

3. Every time the mods kick him off he re-registers under another suspiciously generic sounding name and proceeds to spam fan sites with porn.

Just thought I'd warn everybody and ask, how do we stop him? He's ruining my favorite sites.

 

There is no way to stop him :/ Seriously.

We are aware of this... and working on solutions to stop it. The problem is that he can bypass even the most advanced human varification options that vbulletin offers. His e-mail isn\'t hidden, they are all gmail accounts generated randomly everytime he registered. Considering many sites are dealing with this problem, a solution should come up shortly. If you see any of his accounts let us know and we will ban them.

 

Hey! I have this suggestion it is really important you should hear it.

You should try making a setting, that member must be registered for lets say 3 days before he/she can post. This way the person might give up, because he must always wait for 3 days before he can post porn with a new account.

 

We could, but everytime he registers his IP changes by a few digits.

CM, did you read my suggestion? By making a new member have to wait for certain amount of time would get him to give up.

He might continue for a while, but when he gets always his account deleted and then has to wait for some time before posting, he might just go to another site. :)

 

That is a good suggestion, and I will look into that and other solutions. =]

For now, just please ignore his threads and do not post in them.

 

I have this cheap site(see my signature) and the funniest/saddest thing is that 2-5 members come there and post pornographic content everywhere, all of this happens WHEN IM SLEEPING xD;;

Now I made that I must approve every member who joins. It works for now because new members want to join so slowly.

Anyway, in my opinion the best way to fight this person is to make him feel bored in a way or another. Give him this feeling "It´s easier to go do this somewhere else"

If the mods can see his IP address, maybe they should file it with Cyber Crimes or something, this is harassment and there's a law about porn and showing it to minors isn't there? This has to be cyber harassment, he should be busted by the cops, because there are underage users for this site.

 

KHV was started by Deathspank, but is now owned by spdude :3

Im not entirely sure. Deathspank left to live his life :3 and spdude took over coz he owns a few sites and so knows how to run them. Spdude is never on though xD So he's a bit of an enigma.

His IP adress is changing slightly every time he re-registers .... so it's different each time by a few digits.

No. Probably he has some kind of generator powered by the site/s he is advertising. The site/s may have many networks and he is using them, I dont know.

 

No, he isn't using a diff computer.
There is a certain program that scrambles your IP address, so even if someone got IP banned, they could easily make a new account and post porn again and again.

Easiest solution would be to just wait it off & ignore him completely, banning him is kinda like feeding a troll... So just wait and see if he gets bored; going somewhere else to post his filth...
