Do you think the cutscenes in BBS will be re-animated to match English dialogue? Since Final Fantasy 13 did it I think Square Enix could do the same for this game.

This is expected of them because Birth by Sleep is the next main game in the series. Re:CoM and Days didn't receive this treatment, but were both spinoffs.

Hopefully. It was freaky seeing character talking out of sync to the subtitles.

I doubt that they will. If I remember correctly, it hasn't been done for any KH games in the past, I don't see why they would do it for BBS, especially since it's a handheld console release.

The cutscenes are reanimated for lipsync, but that's also not the only application for it - some cutscenes are also reanimated to fit with censorship laws in the US/UK. In Port Royal in Kingdom Hearts II, censoring meant that a number of scenes had to be reanimated - for example, when Will threatens to kill himself unless Barbossa's hostages are freed, he is holding the gun to his forehead in the Japanese version. The sequence in BBS that shows Cinderella's stepmother and her stepsisters being burned to death will likely be censored.

Maybe it's to get more sales. Who knows, but it would be nice.

I agree with little miss Psyduck here.

FFXIII was for PS3 which was for really nice t.v.s. It'd be more noticeable there if they were out of sync, especially with all the "THIS GAME IS SO EFFIN BEAUTIFUL IT'LL MAKE YOUR EYES BLEED" advertising.

BBS isn't made to be graphically amazing like FFXIII and it's on a smaller screen.
If they did, it'd be nice, if it didn't take too much time to fix. I don't want the game being postponed several months just for that.

Wait waaah? ö. Does that really appear in the game? o.O
Anyway, I hope not much will be censored, I want to have the scenes as they were intended to be :D.
On topic:I would love to have lip syncing, otherwise it's kinda weird :P

They at least did in KH2, remember the EXTREEEEEEME Close up of Auron's Mouth ("This is my story, and you're not part of it")? They sync'd KH1 and 2 to English dialogue, and as far as the detailed models go, I suspect they will for BbS. They did for Crisis Core, they did for Dissidia, so it's not like it's foreign territory on the PSP

I think they only really did it in a few places, like when there were close-ups (as you mentioned). But the lip movements in KH1 and KH2 were pretty bad altogether though. :|

I thought they edited Axel's death scene aswell. Cause in the Japanese version, Flames were comsuming his body but they removed it in the English version...I think

i hope they do that, i've actually never noticed out of sync lips in any game besides RE: COM but i may not have been paying attention for that.

I Hardly see this Happening since this would make the game come out even later. Plus It's a lot of trouble to change those

I would be Happy if they did. but since I do not Own a PSP I don't really care When BBS is Out.

Nomura is treating BBS like a numbered KH game (only because Sora isn't the main character, it doesn't have a number), so I'm leaning more towards a yes on this.

They always are. The only reason I'd second-guess the possibility of no lip-syncing is because of the fact it is a hand-held game. But it's story information is as important as always... -shrugs- I think it will be fine.
