I didn't know if anybody noticed this but they screwed up the storyline because in the movie Batman the Joker confessed he was the one who killed his parents but in Batman Begins his parent's killer gets shot and dies yet we still see the Joker

    Anybody else notice this

Having different directors yields different plot points.

...those are two different stories. The Joker in The Dark Knight is a different character than that in the comics and older movies.

In the original story, he was known as Red Hood, and became the Joker when he and a group of criminals attacked a chemical factory. Batman chased him and he accidentally fell into a chemical vat, turning his skin white and his hair green, causing him to go insane from his appearance.

In The Dark Knight, his true origins are unknown, but it's obvious that he didn't fall into a chemical vat. He instead simply wears makeup and has brownish-green hair, possibly from hair dye. His first encounter with Batman is at a party, not the chemical factory.

actually he said that his father was just abusive and The Joker said something that his dad said "Why dont we put a smile on that face" and so he gave him The Glasgow smile.

anyways in the original comics, The Joker never killed his parents

Were you ignoring the party scene, when he also said that he cut his mouth by himself to please his wife?

He makes up stories for how he got his scars because he's insane, thus we don't really know how or why he became what he is now.

Um...this wouldnt be the first time The Joker lied. He's insane remember? In The Dark Knight, he constantly changes his story about how he got his smile. He told Rachel that his wife wanted him to "smile" more so he cut himself. He told some other guy that his father did it to him.

    Not the most credible guy.

Both movies "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" were directed by Christopher Nolan.

Well when he was telling the story about his father he made it sound like he cut only one side of his face. He could have finished it later with his wife. OR his father could have done the cut and the Joker did it again later when he was with his wife.

It really depends on what you consider canon, cause, compared to the comics, the Joker in the movie has a completely different story than the original.

Goddamn, so many people pissing me off in this thread. NONE of the Batman movies ever made were ever canon. The Tim Burton movies were his own version of Batman, Nolan's films were set in a more realistic world so they were OBVIOUSLY not canon, and the other 2 Batman films were just pure shit.

If OP is talking about the first Batman film by Tim Burton where it shows that Joker killed Bruce's parents then that one is NOT canon. Meaning it doesn't take place in the comic universe. It's Tim Burton's version on the Batman universe and it's separate from Nolan's films.

In The Dark Knight, Joker IS insane and made up each story about his scar. Hell, one of them may have been true but it doesn't matter since we'll never find out, but they were all most likely all lies.

In "Batman" the movie is a different take on the Joker and all than in 'Batman Begins'. The directors were different and so you take the first two 'Batman' movies as to that director and the last two movies 'Batman Begins' and 'Dark Knight' as their own take on Batman. Therefore, continuity wasn't really broken.

Movies are never canon for anything that was originally a book/comic book, be it Harry Potter or The Batman. They are simply "based on the original story by [name]". Based on means they have roughly the same characters/plot.
