Yeah, I'm actually not all that surprised that the WiiU has games with horrible graphics.

I personally see no difference with the Joker, but Batman's suit... too much shine in the WiiU version. Plus the city in the background on the WiiU picture is... lacking, compared to the PS3 one. I didn't really expect anything different.

That, and now I feel old. The PS3 is seven years old---wait, I thought it was six years old. Oh well, it's been a long time!

Actually, the PS3 turns 6 years old this November. Guess that was one fact the editor got wrong.

Maybe this is the NES vet in me talking, but every time I see things like this, the only response I can conjure is Jesus Christ get over it. Games do not have to be on the cutting edge of Pectoral Dirt Stain Technology to be enjoyable. Frankly, the Wii U could revert to N64 graphics for all I care, as long as their library improves and the new games are fun to play. Hell, if they did do that, they could probably pack in thrice as much content as they do lately! A game might actually last me more than three days. Man, there's a thought. Longing sigh. Oh well, at least I can see Batman's nose hairs.

    ...Pardon the venom. Touchy subject.

I'm not one for the WiiU design. I thought it was cool that you could see Batman's suit get torn and everything, and the realism in it. But with WiiU, they basically say "forget that" and just put in a new metallic suit....I don't think Batman even owns a suit that looks like that

This. I agree completely. As long as the game is great, I could care less about power or graphics. I think It looks better than the PS3 version but that is just me.

The suit with "too much shine" is the armored suit. Its a new feature in the Wii U version. The game is still going to have the normal suit. As for the city in the background, notice the camera angle. The PS3 screen shot has the camera pointed down at the city while the Wii U shot has the camera pointed toward the sky. Not to mention the other things that comments on the article point out such as the PS3 lighting being from the side, which is apparently better for detailing. It definitely is a better angle for shadows, at least.

We're all still trying to forget the Joel Schumacher films.

I don't really care tbh, besides the fact that Nintendo is being more friendly with third-parties in regards to their console. I'm sure people who buy Arkham City for the Wii U will have just as a good experience if they were playing it on the PS3. Not worth a Day 1 purchase in my opinion but I have no intentions to get a Wii U in the future.
