Bad luck with DS...again

How do you crack a DS? Especially on one of the hinges? My first DS had issues with the touchscreen, and now this? I know I was going to replace it soon anyways, but is someone trying to tell me something? Maybe it's that I shouldn't be buying Metallic Pink DS's, even if it's the only one left in the store.

 

It's the prevention of buying pokemon or playing pokemon perhaps

 

That happened to my DSLite too, along with the whole screen going white. My suggestion would be to get an old DS or a 3DS. Much better durability.

 

Yup, I got the big boy/tank/ whatever anybody else calls it. Dropped that old sucker idk how many times and nothing is wrong or broken off on it. Just some scraps, but it takes it like a champ

it's so weird. One day I was playing it, and closed it to put it in sleep mode and there was no crack. Later that night when I was done playing it again I closed it and found a giant crack. And I would get a 3DS, but that would leave me with no money to buy Sony Vegas. Hopefully as long as Gamestop takes this I can get a discount for a DSi. All I need is a DS that can handle WPA connections. You know, I find it strange that I'm even bothering, considering I won't even be playing it for a year once I leave. Darn volunteering not allowing any game systems. I might just have to go to rehab because of this

 

Trading it in to Gamestop? Have fun with your five dollars because they've never given a good deal in their company's history.

 

well, considering I got this one for $89 compared to $120 just for trading in my old DS, I think I'll take my chances. If I'm lucky I'll get a price reduction buying a DSi by giving them this. But I have no idea if that's even for any DS, or just the 3DS.

 

My DS Lite broke the same way yours did.
My DSi semi-broke.
My 3DS... I've owned it for a year and nothing yet, I guess Nintendo finally realized their products sucked.

Anyways, I sent my DSL to my local videogame store and they fixed it just fine, but it was like 100ish dollars, so maybe it'd be easier to buy a new one altogether.

 

Can' t you just use a drop of superglue ? It' s just a crack in the casing right ?

it's pink, the feeling is mutual. But I'd rather have bought it then stuck with a DS that has a touchscreen that works on only half the side

I also need a DS that works with WPA, so I can't keep this one anyways if I want wifi stuff. I'll get a 3DS sooner or later, soon as I get back and get a job at subway
